I hope you enjoy editing here and being an Uncyclopedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~) or use the "sign" button () above the edit box. This will automatically produce your name and the date.
At Uncyclopedia, writing articles is not a requirement, but it certainly is a fun and easy way to express your creativity. To write an article, it's recommended that you start it in your userspace (for example, User:Airhogs777/Article about stuff) so you can edit it at your leisure. If you decide to create it in the cold world of mainspace, make sure it is in accordance with the policies laid out above, and if you're not done put the "Work-In-Progress" template - {{construction}} - onto it as well.
If the current colonization doesn't suit your fancy, then browse our rewrite and idea categories. We have lots of articles just sitting around for someone to improve, so don't be afraid - dive right in!
If you need help, ask me on my talk page, ask at the Dump, or ask an administrator on their talk page. Additionally, the Uncyclopedian Adopt-a-Noob program is there to bring experienced editors straight to you. Simply leave a message on an adopter's talkpage to join. Again, welcome! Your article[edit source]
In case you missed my rather rushed explanation on my talk page, I have restored your article and moved it here, since it is now in your userspace you can edit it without fear of deletion. If you feel you are finished then you are welcome to pop it back into mainspace, though I really like your concept and would be interested to see where you could take it if you expanded it a bit more. If you have any questions then you can ask on my talk page. --ChiefjusticeGameBoy 15:12, September 19, 2010 (UTC)
Hello[edit source]
Hi, I just saw your interesting edit, and then your user page. Good to meet you. You seem interested in code, have you met Puppy? He's one of our handful of code geniuses around here, and if you haven't met, and are a coder, an introduction is in order. Go, go to his talk page, and say Hellloooo puppy and maybe get into a gabfest. More later, Aleister 1:24 14 1 '11
- It was just an idea if you love code. Puppy's pages are very interesting, including yesterday's feature page (check out the code by looking under "edit", of course.) Then there are pages like Game:Alone in the dark, Tropical cyclone, Microsoft Knowledge Base (which is probably reasonably simple code but is a page I was very impressed by when I "got here", it seemed like magic to me), and many more. I do say hello to new users from time to time, but only if something catches my attention. Look, a bird! Aleister 2:14 14 1 '11
Aloha[edit source]
Al mentioned your name in a discussion about dpl. I've just started playing with it but it's an area where I feel very noobish. Can you give me a hand? Long story short I'm trying to extract section header only based upon a section number of a page. I'm able to get the section text and have worked out how to garb the first x characters, but to get only the header is beyond me. Given you have a wealth of wiki-Fu I'm assuming if you don't know you know who would. And I promise I'll get around to looking at your contribs here and elsewhere soon. Nominally Humane! some time Saturday, 01:45, Jan 15 2011 UTC
- Thanks for the help. Hadn't come across string functions in wikimedia before, but that combined with the little I do know about dpl (dynamic parser lists) has allowed me to create a hack that - while it isn't ideal - does what I want. Now I just need to think of a unique delineator that I can use that is unlikely to come up in a header, and get the time to tidy up my code. Nominally Humane! some time Sunday, 01:08, Jan 16 2011 UTC
Oh, your signature...[edit source]
It's lovely and all, but could you be a dear and stick it in a template and transclude that instead of pasting the code everywhere? It's rather lengthy. Or if you have it in a file, override the subst with a subst:nosubst, perhaps? ~ 01:43, 21 January 2011
Reviews and images...[edit source]
Hey, mon... welcome to pee review. I'm glad you've ventured to try your own hand at reviewing, however your first wasn't entirely what we'd call in depth, especially for a game. I'll say this time and again, but please, reread the guidelines, and you may get more out of looking at other reviews - some the Steel Kidneys (they got an award for being good, supposedly) keep lists of their past reviews, for instance, and often make for good examples. Basically, the overall is important, but also go into detail if you can and try to call what could use improvement, and how; be helpful. No matter how good something is, there is almost always something that could be helped. If it's not so good, even more.
Mind, with games you certainly don't need to go through evaluating every page of the things; that'd often get pretty silly, but it would help to at least look at the lot of them if you can, or enough to give some gists, call out examples and whatnot... as you may know, there is a special page for listing subpages and whatnot, and after the play through, it's useful to see just what all is there.
Anyway, I hope that helps in the future and hope to see you reviewing more.
Also, I saw what you did with the OoU buttons, turning them into a vector images - not bad. Would it be possible to constrain the blurred shines so that they doesn't go outside the body of the things, though? Or just move them, perhaps... as it is, they extend a bit far, at least on darker backgrounds. Also, you should be able to autocrop them to the main circles; currently they seem somewhat haphazard in their page sizes... I dunno what program you're using, but Inkscape lets you fit the page to a selection from the Document Properties dialogue, for instance, so just select the main circles and do that, mebbe? Whatever you are using should have something somewhere, mind. It's one of those useful things.
I'm nitpicking because I think it'd be great if we could perhaps use the lot of them, as the mediawiki/wikia troubles with rendering vector images seem to have lessened of late and they are a much more elegant solution than what we have... ~ 02:27, 22 January 2011
- Although I do love to see svg becoming more prevalent here. Also while I have both of you here, any ideas in hosting video either directly on site or in a method that makes it a little more accessible, or even playing automatically? The lack of video options is a long-term bugbear I'm still trying to work around. Nominally Humane! some time Saturday, 11:56, Jan 22 2011 UTC
- All I can think of is javascript. Everything else seems to have blocks in the way... which I can't say I mind, since I really don't like animation, not one bit, but... ~ 23:34, 22 January 2011
- I think Wikia lets you insert YouTube/Vimeo videos. That usualy takes care of that, unless you want Uncyclopedia-specific ones. — 23:42, January 22, 2011 (UTC)
No Pee reviews on PLS[edit source]
I've struck out your review request - the idea of PLS is that you write them yourself. After the competition, you can do what you will with your article:)--Sycamore (Talk) 11:38, January 22, 2011 (UTC)
- Also, the judges will give feedback on articles as well, often in a shortened PEE format. It's like getting three reviews for the price of 1! Nominally Humane! some time Saturday, 11:50, Jan 22 2011 UTC
Mmm, and shouldn't articles be started after the PLS starts? For that matter, what qualifies as 'started'? I mean, there's your mainspace one, but then again, many of us at least had a page created prior, though some blanker than others... ~ 18:14, 22 January 2011
- I hadn't had PLS in mind when I started it, but I think I began writing in the time period given. If you cick me out, then whatever. —
- Meh, considering the number folks convoluted and whatnot in this regard, checking them all would be... problematic, at best. I sure ain't bothering. The wikiland template sure is in an odd place, though. Might look better if you moved it, though where to? Oh, questions, questions... ~ 19:10, 22 January 2011

- It's a huge, awkward template for pages with infoboxes. I put it there because it was the best place I could find. —
- Indeed it is. You could copy the code on I think it was the Wikipedia article to make it smaller, but it's still pretty big. ~ 21:45, 22 January 2011
- Thanks! But I still don't now if I should move it. — 21:49, January 22, 2011 (UTC)
- So, I should remove the pee?
- The review request, you mean? Sycamore already took it down; it's not in the queue anymore. ~ 23:23, 22 January 2011

There's a joke about taking the piss here, but I might leave it alone. Nominally Humane! some time Saturday, 23:28, Jan 22 2011 UTC
- But then, what if it's rated really well and I want to get it featured? —
- That would come later. ~ 23:52, 22 January 2011

- Then be patient. Microsoft Knowledge Base and UnBooks:Where do babies come from? are both previous PLS entries that went on to become a feature after the end of PLS, and they're just the two of mine that spring to mind. Many other PLS entries have gone on to feature and even become top 10 of the year. Nominally Humane! some time Saturday, 23:52, Jan 22 2011 UTC

- Hello, lots of activity here. I am a activity hound. And I am also sad, because in four minutes my feature will be taken down and be replaced with someone elses. It's been there for four days, long enough that I've actually had to dust it, so all of you can understand my state of mind. Why couldn't it have stayed for five days, why???? Oh, the stuff going on here, PLS is a very honorable tradition here, and you have over a week to polish and enlarge and polish again, and your page will shine like the freaking crown jewels if you do it right. That's what's fun about PLS. Suddenly, Raccoons is a great PLS story, but for another time. Damn, one minute, and a new feature. It's not fair. Aleister 23:59 22-1-'11
- I've never accomplished enough to feel that way. —
- Your credentials on your user page speak otherwise, sir. And I hope you realize I was joking, nothing said here is serious (although many things are). Tomorrow, that will be the day I will start on my pool-it entry. Today, I will party. Enjoy, your writing! Aleister 00:29 23-1-'11
- I'm not sure I was serious. Anyway, ditto. — 00:33, January 23, 2011 (UTC)

A story[edit source]
One day, a giant yak came out of nowhere and killed all the eggplants. But that's not really the point. In fact, there is no point, because I'm a horrible, terrible storyteller and cannot even form a proper plot, let alone some sort of allegory or some such. Oh well. Toodles. ~ 06:15, 31 January 2011

- You fall short on at least the age requirement. Also, it would make more sense to not add honors and awards for yourself, and instead allow others to add them for you as you earn them. Besides, I have a definite feeling that PC guild has been inactive as a guild for quite a while. Nominally Humane! some time 21:57, February 5, 2011 (UTC)

- I don't care enough to remove you, and unless someone else objects then I don't see an issue with your inclusion. I just would suggest that you just tread a little more gently. Nominally Humane! some time 00:37, February 6, 2011 (UTC)
- You should talk to Zombiebaron. He's a master in the guild, and stuff, and can sort everything out more properly. But what PotR's right, you know; what does it even mean if you wander in and simply claim things? Is not the point of awards and ranks for recognition, and ought they not come from that recognition in turn? ~ 00:41, 6 February 2011
- That's probably a good idea. I should wait and get to know people, to form a reputation deserving of awards. And if I don't, then maybe I'll get banned. That would ruin my chances of adminship. — 00:48, February 6, 2011 (UTC)

- Just so everybody here is aware: I have officially ordained Airhogs777 as a member of the Potatochopper's Guild. I'm not entirely sure why he wanted to join in the first place, but I feel confident that our secret Guild training will improve both his hygiene and his etiquette. -- The Zombiebaron 01:42, February 6, 2011 (UTC)
