  1. Nom+4 It's called satire. MrN MrN9000SouthParksmall.jpg 02:04, Feb 5
  2. For meeeee - Hey, Guildensternenstein, I editified it a little bit, much according to your marvelous review. And I love literary w[h]ack-a-mole. Also, I'd like to say that if the problem with this article is that it doesn't have enough of "everythingelse", which to do that seems to me like detracting from the joke, then I'm not getting the culture here just yet. I mean, of course there's more to the church than this, but I'm not lampooning those things here - I'm lampooning religious conservativism. That's all. Have a nice day. Is this the wrong place to get defensive? I'm such a boob. --TPLN 23:58, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
The problem to me is that one long gay joke is just one long gay joke. If you spread the pages of Episcopal history, the whole "gay" thing has only been pushed fairly recently. I could probably be more helpful, but I virtually all that I know about it is what I found out today, like the fact that John Kerry, a rector, used to have a bitchin' afro. I think I know what it is - this is another instance of "What is the Uncyclopedia?" Is it a place where satire-worthy stuff is satirized? Or is it a parody of Wikipedia? Though there is significant cross-over, they are actually two different things. The detractors of my brilliant satire here (dudes - I'm not satirizing the church, I'm satirizing conservatism) want the latter. I think. --TPLN 05:18, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
Don't misunderstand me. I get the page, but as a satire, it's muddled ("Some churches of the communion don't like the fact that their organization is more accepting and loving than the God they worship, so they broke away and formed the Fag-hating Fascist Bigot Anglican Communion of God the Fag-hater.", for example, has two different True Christians™. The wifebeater shirt and meshback trucker cap variant wouldn't say the first bit, and the wealthy redneck with a $3000 suit and a divinity degree wouldn't use the terminology of the second half). In-character works better if one sticks to the same character. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 05:26, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
I must disagree - you don't get the page at all if you think the satire is muddled, and the example you provide is a case in point. At the risk of seeming like I'm trying to convinve you of something, the character is not the issue. The character is the true me, being snidely ironic. It's self-aware. It's the absolute very definition of satire. Using irony to expose and discredit a human vice. Irony. Y'all is wrong, being too persnickity or something, and missing the point. I'm glad you care so much though. With this attention to detail, one day you shall all be as skilled a humorist as me. --TPLN 07:24, 6 February 2009 (UTC), who just read how VFH is not a discussion page...
You're adorable. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 07:28, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
