Hel, Poland
- You may be looking for Hell and not even know it!
Hel, often misspelled as Hell, The Forgettable Town, Helium, and Wikipedia, is a coastal town off the beaches of the northern side of Poland. It is located on the Hel Peninsula, stretching out from the rest of Pomerania. The town was founded in around the fourteenth century, mostly because of the extinction of the Danish species, although it only got connected to the rest of Poland in the 1800's. Despite the name having similarities to Hell, Hel does not commit to any form of inhumane torture, such as writing Wikipedia articles, although once having ownership by Satan himself.
There are two major religions in Hel, those beings Eastern European Orthodox and Atheism, although Satanism is still a noticeable religion for Satan's lost minion goblins stuck in Hel.
History[edit | edit source]
The history of Hel is very boring. Obviously.
The Time the Cool Fucking German Knights Took Over Hel[edit | edit source]
The region of Hel was mostly uninhabited according to records and reliable sources until the 14th century, in which the Teutonic Order would take over the territory, in which they would found the city of Hel. The town was actually founded a couple kilometers, also known as one mile away from modern day Hel, mostly due to continental shift. However, coincidentally, after the Germans settled in the town, the Hel Peninsula began to rapidly shrink to the modern peninsula that is known today.
The Time the Polish Took It Over[edit | edit source]

It's Prussia-ing Time![edit | edit source]
Like everything the Germans do, they take things from the Poles and Proles. During Poland's massive death, also known as their partitions, the Prussians took over Hel like an average Tuesday.
That One Battle Everyone Cares About[edit | edit source]
In 1939, the Germans invaded the town of Hel, only two decades after the Polish took over the region. The town lasted longer than Warsaw, mostly because of Hel's fortified positions, several minefields around the Peninsula, and the other defences located in Puck. The retreat of Hel began on October 2nd, in which the Polish fled to Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. The town would be exploited, and ABSOLUTELY NOT protected by the Germans, who used forced labour against the Polish. Overall, they did not treated them well.
Transportation[edit | edit source]
The road that lead to Hel was once mistakenly called "The Road to Hell", but the popular name was later corrected to "The Road to Hel", mostly because the city council wanted everyone to be unfunny, like every other city council.
Climate[edit | edit source]
The climate of Hel is rated as having an Oceanic climate, noticeably being the only settlement in Poland that has a climate rated as Oceanic. It rains a lot in Hel, mostly because it is located in Poland. It used to not rain a lot, but ever since Lou Satan has left the town of Hel, the usual weather of Poland has returned to the north.
Twin towns & Sister cities[edit | edit source]
Hel has a very interesting history with sister cities—with most sister cities and twins happening after the 19th century.
