Forum:Open letters
Hello everyone. I'm not going to go anal about this, no matter how dearly most of you would love to see me do it. This is just a sugestion, and not even a sexy one.
How about "Open letters" on the front page or UnNews?
We now have many MANY MANY quality articles that have been written like open letters, this being the latest example. They have no good place anywhere (in terms of the overall structure). If this is supposed to be a parody of an encyclopedia, the placement sucks in main space. It sucks in UnNews (as is; more later). Let me repeat: many of them are great articles and only the placement is a bit off.
This Open Letters thingy could be a section in UnNews, and I think it would be the most natural spot. It only requires an open letters-template for UnNews. If someone savvy would deal with it I would be at least 0.2% happier than I am now.
One possibility would be to limit the "This day" bit slightly and have a small slot for those articles. Depends on whether you want it to be in the magazine part of Uncyclopedia or in the overall thingy dingy.
As this is something that has bothered me at least since 2009, have mercy on me! Do this thing before I put a slug in my cranial cavity! Seriously though, I'm not you-know-who, so this is really a minor point.

- Actually, I always thought we should have a place for editorials in our news. I agree that some articles would be better placed in this format, but I would suggest it stay a full part of UnNews. Maybe as UnNews: Editorial: Blah blah blah or something like that (Something much simpler, even.) The Woodburninator

- Editorial thingy exists, and also column is available. I recently asked BB to make a bit more traditional and more visible templates for both, but he hasn't been in. An open letter is not quite like either, though, so it should be added as a third option. Yes, I agree that it's better as part of UnNews. Style

- This is a good idea. Open letters have been done before, but they could be taken to a hoe 'nuttah levah when applied to the current events and satirical nature of UnNews. I'm always in favor of expanding UnNews (UnInterviews, UnNews Magazine, etc.), as long as these side projects are done relatively sparingly. -- Kip the Egg
