Who can enter and what are the rules?

All registered members of Uncyclopedia are encouraged to enter, though a few conditions and limitations apply. Judges are barred from entering the competition (see here for the list of judges). Non-noobs (people who've been here longer than 3 months) cannot enter the "Best Noob Article" category, and noobs are not restricted to the "Best Noob Article" category.

You may enter only once for each category (for which you are eligible; one article per category per person). An article may only be entered in one category, and it must fit within the requirements of a particular category. You may not change three words and the title of an article to make it eligible for another category; such behavior will result in both articles being disqualified. Additionally, all work must be your own and cannot have been made with the assistance of anyone else.

Articles created prior to the competition cannot be submitted. Also, no plagiarism. Using resources such as the Reefer Desk, Image Request, or Pee Review is forbidden. Users may, however, use Vital, Uncyclopedia:The Creative Process, Category:Rewrite, Special:Wantedpages, Uncyclopedia:Requested Articles and/or Inspire an Article to help get ideas.

We will check the IP addresses of all entrants to ensure that no sockpuppet accounts have been used to circumvent the competition's rules. Any violation of the above rules will result in disqualification from the competition.

Where should I put my entry?

The article should be placed on your userspace (i.e. the title should be in the format User:<insert name here>/[article name]). Alternatively, you can skip a step and type the article name below:

User:<insert name here>/

You should post a link to your article in the entry section below and sign as you would a forum post or vote. If you're a paranoid, or afflicted with OCD, or just want to tell people to shove off until after the PLS, add {{PLS-WIP}} to your entry.

This PLS will surely be one to remember. The judging was done only a month late, and not all entries may have been read or even skimmed over but they were all given a fair chance to make the judges laugh.

Unfortunately for the winners, Dawg, the generous benefactor of this contest, has gone MIA. 1st and 2nd place winners can still get their prize money by finding Dawg and busting his kneecaps until he pays up. You winners should also know that Uncyclopedia itself has moved all of its bank accounts to Switzerland so there's no point in suing us.

Prize money for ties must be worked out amongst the winners, who are encouraged to use negotiation and "reasonable force" to arrange a fair sharing of the ~~ransom money~~ earnings.
