Brad's a jerk[edit source]

In case anyone is wondering why I've voted against so many of these, I held them all up to the standards I use in the VFP room right now, which are pretty darn high. FYI.--Bradaphraser 23:55, 29 January 2006 (UTC)

Are we supposed to fix the vote count when we vote, as well?[edit source]

I hope so, 'cause I've been doing it.--Bradaphraser 23:57, 29 January 2006 (UTC)

It's not a requirement, but it is appreciated. --Algorithm (talk) 00:56, 30 January 2006 (UTC)

Are anons allowed?[edit source]

On VFP, IP votes are usually ignored. Should IP votes be kept on PFP or removed? Anon32 20:52, 10 February 2006 (UTC)

Actually IP votes aren't ignored on VFP or PFP, but they count for less than votes by registered users. --—rc (t) 00:00, 11 February 2006 (UTC)

Old images[edit source]

it doesn't seem fair that because of increased popularity, newer images have more votes when compared to the older images. In general, older images seem to have about 15 or so votes (for AND against) and new images seem to have 15-30 or so. Somehow this doesn't seem fair because newer images will take more votes to be removed than older images (which may actually be better) just because of exposure. Any suggestions? --Maj Sir Insertwackynamehere Icons-world.gif CUN VFH VFP Bur. CMInsertwackynamehere | Talk | Rate 03:10, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

Well, PFP is supposed to be a sort of equalizer. I'm sure it'll never be completely fair, but at least we have some people voting for older images now. --—rc (t) 05:26, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
I guess, but take a newly added image that is +20 because of VFP's (apparently) newfound popularity. Lets say that's 30 votes for and 10 against. Now lets take an older image which is +8. It is 6 votes for and 2 against. If 4 more people vote against the image (more likely than someone voting for it because people generally only care when it comes to removing things) then the image is dead and retired. However a newer image will probably never recieve 20 more votes against unless something drastic occurs for some reason. Both images have a 2/3 level of popularity, but the older one is in more danger of losing it because of unequal starts. --Maj Sir Insertwackynamehere Icons-world.gif CUN VFH VFP Bur. I would say the old ones have had their fair share on the frontpage already anyway and if they are that good then people will vote them up.Da, Y?YY?YYY?:-:CUN3 NotM BLK |_LG8+::: 07:49, 11 February 2006 (UTC)

Stained glass Mr. T[edit source]

I don't get what's so funny about Mr. T. in stained glass that it has the highest score (+27!). Admittedly, it is by RadicalX, but I don't get it?--Anon32 19:32, 11 April 2006 (UTC)

Well then maybe you should vote against it (and tie it up with Dog Hazard Labels :D ) --Sir Mon€¥$ignSTFU F@H|PLS|VFP 19:47, 11 April 2006 (UTC)

So...[edit source]

Are the pictures that are voted into negatives going to be removed? They're obviously well-hated. ~ Ghelæ talkcontribs 14:07, 15 April 2006 (UTC)

I don't think they'll be removed from PFP, but a few have already been removed from the featured image template. --~ sin($) tan() 14:13, 15 April 2006 (UTC)

By which you mean "have <option weight=0> in front of them, so they never show up on the Main Page." No, I think both FI and PFP need to be purged. ~ Ghelæ talkcontribs 14:19, 18 April 2006 (UTC)

By which, he means, they were deleted from the featured image template, not marked to weight=0 (and seems to have been deleted from PFP too) and are no longer listed there: Image:Keeler1.jpg and Image:Staypuft.jpg. Booyah. So, it is being purged, be patient. --Splaka 05:33, 19 April 2006 (UTC)

Ok, I'll continue translating AAAAAAAAA! then while I'm waiting. ~ Ghelæ talkcontribs 09:58, 19 April 2006 (UTC)

Catcher in the rye ought to be cropped a bit[edit source]

Given I didn't know who JD Salinger was, and hadn't been able to make out the joke with it shrunk to fit the main page, it's hard to tell that's a catcher unless you view the image at full size. But if we just crop some of the sides, top, and bottom, it'll be zoomed in a bit and the joke would be more apparent even when the pic is shrunk. --User:Nintendorulez 17:22, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
