The main character is a pompous ass who puts himself above everyone else and criticizes other people's writing, while thinking he is the greatest writer in the world. And yet, when he himself tries to write, he follows all the rules and yet still cannot be effective. I found it to be amusing satire, but not "funny" in the lol sense.
