If not, then somebody has edited the code to make them not work, and especially mess up beautifully random pages as well...

- From what i can tell you straight up just can't hyperlink random pages in this way due to how MediaWiki works. 18:36, 28 November 2025 (UTC)
- Here, I got it to work, kind of!

- I think it's probably because you used a different template... Maybe it's all HIS fault? Ryan Woo-Ming (talk) 19:00, 29 November 2025 (UTC)
- No, that kind of linking just doesn't work, period. All the old versions of the templates have the same problem. 19:03, 29 November 2025 (UTC)
- @Ryan Woo-Ming: as far as I'm aware, that user has been a good-faithed contributor and often knows what they're doing. what would it be that users' fault? 🎄🎄🎄DaniPine3 (talk)🎄🎄🎄 19:04, 29 November 2025 (UTC)
- @DaniPine3: He built a big wall... a big wall across the links! And he's gonna make the pages uh... er... pay for it! You see, he has this big beautiful eye, y'know, his eye... big... beautiful... he used it to watch the trolls, tiny gremlins! Tiny, tiny gremlins they are. Little goblins with their own goblin hands and their goblin fingers, man, living in their goblin-shaped houses... no wonder why he owns a big beautiful eye on a huge big beautiful black pillar! And he made all the links have... cocaine... they're smoking Cocaine! Every day! 🍂 gergdown 🍂 ☀️ 20:23, 29 November 2025 (UTC)

Testing
[[<choose uncached><option>Dog</option><option>Cat</option><option>Frog</option></choose>]]
Gives you: [[Frog]]
[[{{#choose:|Dog|Cat|Frog}}]]
Gives you: Frog
I don't know why it does that. I don't think the parser function (the second one) allows uncached results. --MUGA Intern Sandeep (talk) 04:08, 30 November 2025 (UTC)
- Well, I guess this's all MediaWiki's fault then. But Fandom usually does all the evil work here! The most we can do is either pray for another revision or get rid of everything that has this practice... Ryan Woo-Ming (talk) 18:38, 30 November 2025 (UTC)
- @Ryan Woo-Ming: which practice are you talking about? randomized links? 🎄🎄🎄DaniPine3 (talk)🎄🎄🎄 18:45, 30 November 2025 (UTC)
