EVIL PONIES
Am I seriously the only one...
...who hates My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic? Seriously, am I? ~ 23:32, 09/22/2011
- Yes. I don't even know what it is. ~ 00:00, 23 September 2011
- I dunno. Haven't seen it yet. Too cheap to pay for the DVD rental. -- Simsilikesims(♀UN) Talk here. 00:38, September 23, 2011 (UTC)
- PS - What do you hate most about it - like most kiddy cartoons is it the overly large saucer-sized eyes and squeaky baby voices used? Or the deus-ex-machina happy ending? -- Simsilikesims(♀UN) Talk here. 00:41, September 23, 2011 (UTC)
- @Simsilikesims: How do I hate MLP? Let me count the ways.
- 1. The fandom is annoying. (I'm now pretty much a target for trolling. In my opinion, even worse than the Sonic fandom at its worst.)
- 2. Every one of my favorite shows has been turned into MLP. (Even worse than Rule34 in my opinion. Seriously, how would you like it if someone turned Star Trek into ponies?)
- 3. The bright, flashy colors and annoying voices give me a headache.
- 4. It's for little girls.
- The only redeeming qualities are that the guy who voices the villain also played Q in Star Trek, and the animator also worked on one of my favorite movies. ~[ths] is not currently signed in. He posted this comment at 01:42, September 24, 2011 (UTC)
- Ah, you have my sympathies. Now you have an inkling how it feels to have tunes you loved as a teen turned into elevator music. But at least they haven't made a MLP horror movie yet. Hm....Freddie vs Jason in ponies? Or Snakes on a Plane? Or Final Destination? Hmm....this has possibilities. And yes, it is for little girls. So is pink. Usually. So are tutus. Usually. At least the fandom hasn't done anything particularly dangerous like trample someone at a concert...yet. -- Simsilikesims(♀UN) Talk here. 05:47, September 25, 2011 (UTC)
- I dont even know why people like to play ponies, aside of 5-9 year old girls. Its just as bad as Barney and teletubbies, if they would have a fandom of grown men and teens. --
FcukmanLOOS3R!!! 04:40, September 26, 2011 (UTC)- The saucer eyes thing is pretty much the influence of Japanese anime permeating the market. Turning everything into "babies" is pretty much an American thing. Marvel Babies has been in the works but I think someone may have figured out that it really makes no sense to do such a thing. The old Disney days of hand drawn cells is long gone and anything that will pack a theater with 8-9 year old girls or boys is gold - especially because the profitability of selling related toys is there. Then you have the fast food restaurant tie-ins......My Little Pony goes back to when I was a kid - just some stupid, cutesy toys for little girls. Since nobody wants to pay anyone for anything new or original, everything I remember as a youngster is still ripe for continued harvesting. -- 05:43, September 27, 2011 (UTC)

So
you're one of them, huh. --Roman Dog Bird 03:04, September 23, 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, which one? ~Sir Frosty (Talk to me!) 03:08, September 23, 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, and so are you. Welcome to the herd, resistance is futile (although you may have to change your name to Roman Pony Dog Bird or something). -- 14:09, September 23, 2011 (UTC)

TheSlyFoxTheSlyPony: First of all, you stole the "Resistance is Futile" line from Star Trek. Secondly, I am not only a hater (not in the herd), but I am one of many. Third, if you expect me to change my username to TheHappyPony or something, you've surely gone bat. ~[ths] is not currently signed in. He posted this comment at 01:47, September 24, 2011 (UTC)- Indeed, I did steal that line from a certain science fiction series. But like the Borg, the Pony fandom has a way of assimilating unsuspecting people. Especially hippies, such as myself. But don't worry, everyone will be assimilated very soon. THS, You don't even have to become "TheHappyPony"... I was thinking more along the lines of "HappyRainbowSunshine" or some such... -- 04:40 September 24, 2011 (UTC)

- And so, the roar of battle filled the streets. Clones of attention deficient children armed with truckloads of Pepsi and Skittles marched against a battalion of herping, derping ponies. Bombs of stardust and sunshine rained down from above as the mad children marched through the streets, systematically stomping on everything in sight. It was not long before entire structures lay in ruins. Shattered glass fragments lay among the discarded candy wrappers and soda cans. And yet, as the sun rose over the destruction, a rainbow shined its light on both armies...
PONY PWNED Aimsplode
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS ~Sir Frosty (Talk to me!) 03:24, September 25, 2011 (UTC)
To Be Continued...
As the dust cleared, the children were seen to be riding or chasing the ponies. They rode away in the direction of Happy Rainbow Sunshine Land, only to get lost in Old Meme Woods, said to be inhabited by children's old abandoned toys. -- Simsilikesims(♀UN) Talk here. 05:53, September 25, 2011 (UTC)
@Frosty: Not really.
Aimsplode wasn't really "pony pwnd," because TheSlyFox didn't create the image. It was stolen from Monty Python. And now for something completely different. ~ 15:04, 09/25/2011
- I assume he created the GIF animation, though. It being based on Monty Python is kinda besides the point.
- Indeed, I was the animator. Amazingly, nobody on 4chan had done it yet! I'm rather proud of it, actually... -- 15:34 September 25, 2011 (UTC)
