  1. Sad against. I hate to be joyless / but this page is not so great / She deserves better. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 03:20, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
  2. Hang on a sec... Are you saying that this article should be featured based on, not its merits, but its title? In that case, why don't you nominate my user page first, then we shall discuss on this article again, in great details? -- JoeMonco 12:24, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
Just to be clear about this, that's not what I'm saying. The name makes it an important article, but the name itself doesn't increase the quality of the article. I just think the article itself, though it could be somewhat improved, is good enough to be featured. -Sockpuppet of an unregistered user 16:11, 10 October 2008 (UTC)
  3. Against. Haikus and stuff are fine / but this page is no fave of mine / it's patchy you see / hence an against from me / oh shit, have I got this wrong again? (Per Modus). --UU - natter UU Manhole.gif 13:37, Oct 8
  4. Symbol declined.svg It's a page of haikus. Most of which make more of an attempt to be a haiku than an attempt to be funny. If I wanted to read a bunch of things attempting to be haikus, I have a whole book of haiku poetry.  Sir Skullthumper, MD (criticize  writings  critchat) 01:02 Oct 09, 2008
  5. Against. I like haikus, but / there are better articles / that should be featured. -- Sir Codeine K·H·P·B·M·N·C·U·Bu. · (Harangue) 11:45, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

  • I hate pooping someone else's party just as much as the next guy, but I do believe that Modus has a point here. -- JoeMonco 12:24, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
  • Modus, as always, makes an excellent point. I would justify my vote on egalitarian grounds, indeed, grounds discovered just this morning in my coffee-maker: to wit, an article made up of haiku is sufficiently zany; a paean to Sophia is appropriate; and while I generally favor well-crafted articles Uncyc has a tradition of featuring non-traditional work (AAAAAAAAA! if you don't think so). But it's a fair vote and, really, I could argue either for or against featuring with just about equal conviction. ----OEJ 01:29, 10 October 2008 (UTC)
