- PHP ERRORS
- If you see lines on the top of the page like PHP Warning or whatever, be a dear and copy/paste that for us along with what page you saw that on and what you were doing at the time so we can better look into the issue.
- "Array to string conversion ...on line 1522"
- If you are getting this notice, that's a known issue, so you don't need to post it unless the page is broken otherwise.
- Broken redirects
- If you come across a redirect which points to a page which exists, but shows a red link, do a "null edit" on the redirect (click the "edit" tab, insert a space somewhere, click "save"). This should fix it.
- The new edit window is "icky"!
- And I quote: "...you can turn it off in your preferences. Go to editing, uncheck 'enhanced editing toolbar' under beta features, and if you want the old one instead, make sure 'Show edit toolbar (requires JavaScript)' is checked. -— Lyrithya ༆ 16:26, 5 January 2013 (UTC)"

Bug report: Clocks on VFD aren't working |

Bug report: Uncy takes ages to load sometimes |
---|
Description:
My internet was working well, the other uncy was working well, yet for the past 2-3 hours this site has taking a possible infinite time (I always ran out of patience before it did anything) to load. It seems to be running okay now though. --EveryOtherUsernameWasTaken(get dtf) 20:03, 16 October 2014 (UTC)

Bug report: Hacking up articles isn't working |
---|
Description:
Nikau asked me to hack up Thailand and Brazil so that he can rewrite them, but when I go to restore them and click the button, nothing happens. I was able to resurrect V8 Supercar however. I don't know why that one would work but the others wouldn't. -- 20:03, 15 October 2014 (UTC)

Bug report: UnDebate format |
---|
Description:
Pages in UnDebate namespace don't have a special UnDebate header (File:Undebate_header_both_long.gif) displayed on them. Anton (talk) 18:17, 13 October 2014 (UTC)

Bug report: Problem with Special:Undelete/Fursecution |
---|
Description:
Fursecution was apparently deleted via VFD, but the deletion log entry is missing. The deleted text also seems to be missing, for example here and here, and all the edits seem to be duplicated. In looking at the revision history of User:David Gerard/Fursecution (unbiased) I see something about Sannse retrieving it from a 'backup', which suggests there was some problem with those pages in Wikia's database and that if we're going to get that stuff back we may have to poke a Wikia staffer, but I thought I'd stick this here anyway. – Llwy-ar-lawr (talk • contribs • logs) 21:05, 26 Jul 2014

Bug report: Pages protected before the move aren't always associated with the relevant log entry |
---|
Description:
Some pages protected before the move/fork/whateveryouwanttocallit are missing the protection log entry but are still recorded as protected. This can be seen on UnBooks:The Anarchist Cookbook, for example, in that the protection notice is not displayed when editing - replaced by 'No matching items in log' - and the log entry isn't in the logs for that page. It is, however, visible in the logs but the link to the page is red. The links to all the featured articles in the namespaces Why?, UnScripts, UnDebate, UnBooks and HowTo are also red. This is probably due to those namespaces not having existed at the time, and therefore the protection log entries being recorded in the database as being associated with a now nonexistent mainspace article beginning with the namespace prefix, whereas the actual page is located in a different namespace. This problem is also visible on Template:ICU/original, Template:ICU/format, Template:ICU/notfunny and Template:ICU/short, which are not in the namespaces this bug seems to mainly affect which is why I didn't say anything about namespaces in the header. This may be because they were protected in 2006 - don't know for sure because I haven't dug around extensively to find other pages with the bug, but it seems likely because the version of MediaWiki used then seems to have treated protection somewhat differently. – Llwy-ar-lawr (talk • contribs • logs) 00:27, 30 May 2014

Bug report: Something really strange with some contributions lists |
---|
Description:
This is more complex than your average bug, so it may be harder to explain or handle. Special:Contributions/PuppyOnTheSpike shows me rollback links by files that user has uploaded, saying 'rollback 0 edits' as you can see in File:Rollback-0-edits.png. Normally when a page has a single author that has edited it no more than 10 times, as is the case here, there is no rollback link, so this is wrong. I tried clicking the link just to see what it would do, and it did this, which is also wrong because normally when you try to roll back a page with a single author it throws an error. Clearly it's not recognising something. I tried looking at the history, and no rollback link there. Tried looking at the file page, and it claims the file was uploaded by Darklordsith. That's strange. Looked at Darklordsith's contributions, and they're identical to those of PuppyOnTheSpike. They also have the rollback 0 edits thing. Finally, the histories of pages that PuppyOnTheSpike/Darklordsith has edited, for example Manhattan Engineering District, show PuppyOnTheSpike as having made the edits, but in that example you can also see that when TKF rolled back one of these edits, it was recorded as having been made by Darklordsith. I suspect the strange connection between these two accounts is somehow related to the rollback thing, but I can't imagine how. I also think it worth pointing out that PuppyOnTheSpike was formerly known as Spike before Zombiebaron renamed him to make way for SPIKE to log in here and be lowercase (which of course never happened); and this appears to have been done by creating the Spike account prior to renaming in order to avoid the usual difficulties with users that haven't logged in, which may or may not have caused something to fail in some mysterious way. – Llwy-ar-lawr (talk • contribs • logs) 04:25, 15 May 2014

Bug report: In-page CSS not working on VFH |
---|
Description:
See also here - the colours in my signature are done with a stylesheet on the page, and they don't work on vfh. This seems to be also happening on Illogicopedia; apparently it's something to do with the css and dpl extensions not being compatible - thought I'd drop it here too. – Llwy-ar-lawr (talk • contribs • logs) 04:59, 18 Mar 2014

Bug report: Uncyc app chokes on network errors |
---|
Description:
When the Uncyclopedia app is unable to download a page, it aborts and asks me to email in the stack trace. It's better to handle the exception with a "No network" or "Can't access server" message and return to business as usual. 。◕‿◕。 23:08, 1 September 2013 (UTC)

Bug report: Edit window link suggestion is slow | |||
---|---|---|---|
Description:
The in page search function is moving slow if at all (I don't know the tech term, it's when you do a search while editing by started it [[HowTo:Beet , and then the "off" doesn't show as an option). This goes for pics [[File:Abra , as well, although Wikia uncy doesn't in-page file pics where you can scan the pics by using the up and down aarows. I too am amazed at how much work and time a group of people have put into this, and it's lucky we have coding geniuses so interested in keeping this site afloat. Thanks. Aleister 14:17 7-1-'13

Bug report: {{Logo}} issues |
---|
Description:
Now when I read about putting the featured image in the logo, I was thinking about the constructure of #p-logo, which excists out of "#p-logo" and "#p-logo a". Now, normally, the image itself is located at #p-logo a, which causes it to click on it to go to the main page. When I move this background-image from #p-logo a to #p-logo itself, and putting the featured image instead on #p-logo a, it is placed above the potato and is adjustable with (negative) margins and paddings. I think this will fix it. Only thing to rethink about is namespaces. This only does work with main-space articles. Or there must be all different sorts of templates be created for those namespaces. #p-logo { background-image: url("http://images.uncyclomedia.co/uncyclopedia/en/b/bc/Wiki.png") !important; background-repeat: no-repeat !important; background-position: 50% 50% !important; } #p-logo a { background-image: url("http://images.uncyclomedia.co/uncyclopedia/en/thumb/2/2f/Featured.png/190px-Featured.png") !important; background-repeat: no-repeat !important; background-position: -5px 40% !important; padding-left:10px !important; margin-left:-10px !important; padding-right:20px !important; }For me, this just works nice. By the way, these <nowiki>'s in the source code should be gone of course. R7 (NL) 12:11, 27 January 2013 (UTC) |
Resolved bugs
Please put resolved bugs on top! Thanks. Move 'em here for when things get resolved --
03:35, 5 January 2013 (UTC)- Should we start to cross out the ones that are finished? Might make it easier to look over the still-problematic ones. The Woodburninator Minimal Effort ™ 04:11, 5 January 2013 (UTC)

Wabbajack
For things that used to be bugs but were Wabbajacked into not-bugs, or not-bugs that need to be Wabbajacked into bugs. Or sweetrolls. Sweetrolls work too.
Resolved issue: Editcounts acting weird |
---|
Description:
{{Special:Editcount/username}} shows more edits than Special:Editcount/username. For example, as of this writing {{Special:Editcount/Llwy-ar-lawr}} gives 8,777, whereas Special:Editcount/Llwy-ar-lawr gives 8,645. You can see more examples of this sort of thing here. After hand-counting Special:Contributions/Jack Phoenix and Special:Contributions/Snarglefoop it seems the accurate one is the one given by Special:Editcount. – Llwy-ar-lawr (talk • contribs • logs) 16:07, 6 Apr 2014

If I might say...
I find it astounding you managed to get the whole site moved with only this many errors. I love you guys. ---MasterWangs 05:12, 7 January 2013 (UTC)

I've got a bug and spraying it in the face with insecticide doesn't help
Hello code masters. Every time I change pages that large header on top of the page comes back (it always was set up so if you "X" it out once that was the end of it until next time you signed in. Is that just happening to me, or is everyone getting this? If just me, eek. And as long as I'm here, any ideas of why I can't upload photos here? Thanks! Aleister 14:11 31-3-14
- Could you please put this under #Current bugs so people know what to do? Thanks. – Llwy-ar-lawr (talk • contribs • logs) 15:26, 31 Mar 2014
- The bugs in the donation header are all my fault, but I think I resolved them, so try doing a hard refresh of the page by holding down CTRL or SHIFT (depends on the browser) and hitting the reload button. If that doesn't work, you might try clearing your cookies. ~ Sun, Apr 6 '14 20:58 (UTC)
- Worked for me, thanks! --Mimo&maxus 12:05, 7 April 2014 (UTC)
