Regarding the whole slappy issue[edit source]
First of all, VFD votes are allowed for any reason. If Dex thinks that (in his eyes) it's poor quality, he is allowed to place them on VFD. It doesn't mean a death sentence, just a vote. Unless you can prove to me that he has a personal grudge against you, which I doubt this is the case, it is a valid vote. Also, the start rating system is basically bollocks. We don't really pay attention to it. Last thing, next time you have an issue with another user, try to talk with him or approach an admin before placing him no ban patrol. ~ 14:29, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

- Nope. What he is doing is actually putting in place the site's policies. Re - we don't allow vanity articles. What you're doing is trying to settle personal scores via ban patrol, without trying to settle it with him first. Talk with the man, I think you'll find him quite approachable. ~ 14:23, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
- It's not the vanity I'm complaining about, it's the fact that he's trying to delete articles just because I reverted his edits that bothers me. If he has a complaint about vanity, then why doesn't he just point it out? Crablogger 14:29, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
I don't think he's trying to do that, he probably just don't like the articles. But I'll get him to respond here rather than speaking on his behalf. ~ 14:32, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
Maybe not, but I think personal dislike doesn't make a good excuse for deletion. Crablogger 14:35, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
- The articles are all unfunny, repetitive, and vanity/fan-fic cruft, as stated in my reasons for VFD. I just came up with a new name to say it. No personal grudge. Let the community vote. I'm sure the majority will agree with me. Better has been deleted through VFD. --MegaPleb • Dexter111344 • Complain here 14:38, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
- Unfunny to you, perhaps, but perhaps British humour differs from yours. The proof of the pudding is in the eating, so I think the community should vote, but I still think that, personal grudge or not, you should've been more clear about your reasons for deletion. As for vanity, read my comment about Slappy's Angels 5, as I can't be bothered to type up anything else for your benefit. Crablogger 14:41, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
- Another comment: you've obviously put a lot of effort into this stuff, Crablogger, but Uncyc isn't really the place for cartoon fanfic stuff. Your userpage basically admits that's what it is. If you want to keep it, it can easily be moved to your userspace, where people like Dex will cease to bother it, and you can carry on writing it as much as you like. I don't think there's "personal dislike" involved in the delete vote, so much as "these articles don't fit on this site". At least, that was the reasoning behind my vote. Nothing personal, honest! (Oh, and I'm British, so the "British Humour" thing don't wash, sorry). --UU - natter 14:43, Jul 22
- Well, thanks for moving them, anyway, but I'm still pretty sore at putting all that effort in for nothing. I suppose if you're going by that philosophy, you may as well do the same thing for all of those Scary Movie articles I wrote, because this sort of thing is really discouraging for me. Hea Dude[edit source]
Wow. You have really been getting a hard time of it on VFD lately. I just wanted to pop in and say hi in an effort to stop you from feeling too discouraged. I bet you are feeling really gutted about the whole thing. I have been keeping an eye on the VFD page very closely for over 8 months now, so I hope that you will respect what I have to say on the matter... I think the problem with what you did there was that you somehow just forgot that we are a humour wiki. We are not really here to host pages unless they are funny to lots of people. From looking at the voting which is going on over at VFD it looks like most people agree that they don't get the humour. That does not mean that what you did "was not good", but just that we don't think it fits in with the style of wiki we are trying to create. As you probably know, you can have all of this in your userspace, and I really hope that you decide to have it all there. You obviously put a lot of effort into it all, so it would be a shame if it was not stored anywhere. In terms of the future stuff which you write for Uncyc, I also recommend that you avoid linking anything which you create to yourself or your user page. Doing that really sets the alarm bells ringing, and was probably what got the series noticed in the first place. Whatever you do, don't write anything else which links to your user page. Unless it's in your user space obviously, in which case, that's cool. You can have almost whatever you want there. I'm not an admin, but you can feel free to talk to me about any of this on my talk page if you ever wish to... I do, (I'm sorry to say) agree that your series should all be moved to your user space, where I'm sure it will give you a great deal of enjoyment. I look forward to seeing you write something new which is not about Slappy actually! Please! No moh Slappy! ... Oh, probably the best piece of advice anyone has ever given me on Uncyc in terms of writing good stuff is "quality on quantity"... It's always better to put a lot of effort into a small number of articles than to put a little effort into a lot.. Scary Movie is OK, but I think you could still do a much better job of it. Maybe rather than creating something new, it might be better to work on this some more? Read through it and try to figure out which bits are not really that funny and strip them out. Be ruthless in doing this. If it's not funny, chop it out! Obviously if you can come up with new funny stuff during the process that's obviously great. As I said... Quality not quantity is always what we go for... Have fun, and I hope you continue to enjoy your time at Uncyc. :-) MrN 21:40, Jul 22
- I'd probably say the same, only use just about three words instead of six hundred. But hell, the man has a point. ~ 21:46, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
- Well Crablogger needs to understand that he is appreciated, and that we hope he sticks around. That goes especially for Dexter, I'm sure. I know Dexter quite well (as is possible on a wiki) and I can honestly and most surely say that he does not have any kind of grudge on you Crablogger. He's just a user who is very active on VFD. He was a bit out of line how he worded his deletion reasons, and I think he understands that now... MrN 21:54, Jul 22
- I appreciate everybody's concern for me, and I am a little calmer now, but I shan't be writing anything on Uncyclopedia anymore. I understand that it's a humour wiki, but I guess it's not a wiki for my sort of humour. So, to avoid a repeat of the Slappy's Angels incident, this shall be my last post on Uncyclopedia altogether. Instead, I'll just keep my writings to myself until I find a website more suited to the style of humour I write. Crablogger 10:18, 13 October 2008 (UTC)

I saw that![edit source]
Does this mean you're still around sometimes?
12:46, 25 June 2009 (UTC)- Only now and then. To be honest, I came back just to clean up what I'd left on my userpage. BTW, thanks for voting me Zombie of the Month. Crablogger 13:50, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
