A few guidelines for what counts as a "character"

• Spaces do not count as characters.
• Everything else counts as characters.
• If using regular wiki characters, a maximum of two (2) bytes can be added / removed per edit: one space and one character. Special characters not commonly seen on this wiki, like the one on Lyrithya's signature, may take up more than one byte. We don't know what to do with them if they get added in here. Probably just removed.
• If an edit does not contain a space, it can only add or remove one (1) character per edit.
• It is OK to revert vandals using the "undo" or "revert" buttons, removing or re-adding multiple bytes at once.
• All links, bold and italic tags, and images must be added one byte at a time, making it annoying to add it.
• Emojis are banned.

How do I avoid messages like this?
