Richard "Slick Rick" Martin Lloyd Walters, better known as Slickbeard, is an British-American pirate and rapper who from the late 1980s onward, has successfully pillaged and robbed several ships. After a little stint where he tried to murder two competing pirates, Slickbeard was captured and sent to prison for five years, making him love the harsh streets of New York City. This set him up to become a rapper in '87, however, when he became a rapper, Slickbeard realized that in the music industry, rappers rob you!, and has had his music "sampled" by Snoop Dog, Eminem, TLC, and Kanye West as well as hundreds more. He was arrested in 2003 after federal officials thought he was back to robbing ships, but a few years later, the governor of New York fucking pardoned him for his crimes. Nowadays, he, just like Neil deGrasse Tyson, criticizes fiction books for not representing reality.

Early life[edit | edit source]

Born in London in 1965 to Jamaicans who were part of a pirate crew, Slickbeard already had experience in a city which was gradually decaying into poverty. At the age of one, he lost his left eye when the crib he was sleeping in spontaneously combusted. This made Slick Rick the favorite of the Jamaican pirate who led his parent's crew, and after the pirate died in 1969, Slickbeard inherited the crew of the pirate. Robbing trading ships across the waters of Britannia, Slickbeard was able to hone his skills, robbing over $200,000 in food by 1976. This caused the young Slickbeard to let his parents live in the United Kingdom, while he set his sights for the United States.

Rapping in the 1980s[edit | edit source]

Main article: East Coast Rap
What a bunch of Jokes!

East Coast Rap is a regional subgenre of hip hop music that originated in New York City, USA during the 1970s. After being brought to New York, this new form of music was revolutionized by Slickbeard, ensuring that it would last for at least five years. His first album, The Great Adventures of Slick Rick, was released in 1988, presumably to take attention away from his robbery of Mario 3 cartridges. Remember, he was still a pirate at the time. This first album featured the song Children's Story, which was named after his second ship, The Children's Story. It was basically a warning to gangsters that being a robber and threatening to shoot pregnant women is bad

Present day[edit | edit source]

After being arrested two times, Slickbeard seeked to not be a pirate, as being a victim of internet piracy and not being popular on YouTube made him have an epiphany. As a result, he retired all of his ships excluding the Children's Story, which was converted into a yacht. According to the Yo Gabba Gabba! fandom, in 2013, Slickbeard made his most influential cameo, playing a rapper named Turbo in the episode Mermaids. Despite not being relevant in most of the world, in Somalia, countless pirates respect Rickbeard for his early work.
