Could someone please help me fix Template:Killquote2? I can't figure out why it won't substitute the chosen input for {{{1}}} and why it says "on" twice for every quote.--Naughtius Maximus

- I don't think you can have a variable inside choose/option tags. That's my best guess on that front, and unfortunately I can't think of a workaround.~~ Sir Ljlego, GUN [talk] 21:14, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

- Is there a way to do that with JS or something like that? 'Cause nothing I tried worked; I hit it, yelled at it and poked it with a stick, but still nothing. --

As several users have already surmised, {{{variable}}}s don't work inside custom tags like <choose>. This is a longstanding bug in Mediawiki that probably won't be fixed anytime soon. --Algorithm 06:12, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
