The proposition for an audible article was mentioned on the forum sometime in the past, but I think everyone forgot about it. I brought up the idea for an audio version of Uncyclopedia is the worst on the article's talk page, but it appears that it has gone unanswered. That is why I have brought the proposition here to the dump, in hopes that the idea will be heard.

I've recorded a rough draft of the audio version of Uncyclopedia is the worst. You can find it under your seat.

PS. It's a bit quiet, so you might have to turn it up a bit. --General Insineratehymn 01:03, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

  • I am all for the idea of audio articles. It helps me get through those dreadfully boring Wikipedia articles which I force myself to read during research for stuff, and it may help me get through more Uncyclopedia articles (start to finish that is, not number of articles). --Sir Zombiebaron 01:06, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
  • It's good, but IMO it should be less on the "whining just because he's a cry baby dork" side and more on the "whining like a middle-schooler trying to get out of trouble" side. It would be also funny to try and do the whole article in one take, like he had it planned out for weeks or something. Mr. Briggs Inc. 01:33, 9 November 2006 (UTC) Eh?
    • All in one take, you say? With the assistance of clever audio-editing techniques, I believe that might be possible. --General Insineratehymn 01:57, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
  • That's how I imagine all ED users sound. Well done. --Uncyclon - Do we still link to BENSON? 07:58, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

  • That's actually pretty good. Crazyswordsman...With SAVINGS!!!! (T/C) 18:16, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
  • Is not loading for me. ;_; --User:Nintendorulez 22:21, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
    • Wait, got it working by right click -> save as. Pretty funny, but if you ask me need needs less of a whiny tone and more angry ranting. --User:Nintendorulez 22:25, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
  • Hey, how do I make an mp3 with audacity? I want to record "Fisher Price." Crazyswordsman...With SAVINGS!!!! (T/C) 22:34, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
    • Set the input device to Microphone, check the volume levels. Download and install the LAME library and point Audacity to it when you try to export to a MP3 file. Don't forget to export to OGG format as well for the liberal hippie open source geeks and nerds to listen in Linux with. LAME should be on the same page as a link with the Audacity download. I'd do some voice recordings myself, but I am too shy. I used to be a class clown and could impersonate famous people. But I am nowhere as good as Rich Little and others have been. I wanted to do the James Earl Jones impersonation with Darth Vader breathing saying "This is UnNews" or something to be used for UnNew audio files to start out with. --Lt. Sir Orion Blastar (talk) 01:28, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
  • If I had a mike, I'd make my own version of the full article. Some bits would be whiny, others yelling, others sounding like some dumbass jock calling everything gay gay gay, others sounding like some soccer mom who was offended... Good thing I'm good at impressions. --User:Nintendorulez 22:46, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
  • That's funny! It made me laugh, anyway. It just needs to be louder. -- Hindleyite 14:30, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

Ok, I might get finished recording the whole article tomorrow... maybe. Until then, I'm sleeping. --General Insineratehymn 06:03, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

Ok, I'm having a bit of a problem uploading the finished product. I recorded the entire article, and the file turns out to be 12 megabytes, even when converted to OGG, and it turns out I cannot upload such a large file. Can anyone help me out? --General Insineratehymn 22:12, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

I just came up with a solution. I split the large file into two. That way, the bricks aren't falling through the chute all at the same time. --General Insineratehymn 22:30, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

OPEN THE IRON GATES!

Gentlemen, behold. The audio epic is complete!!!
