Okay, I want to know, what do you think about starting to create audio versions of articles for our hearing impaired users??? I've done three examples, accessible Here, Here, and Here.

I think audio articles will definitely cater to our deaf readers. -- Tinymooose.gif » Sir Savethemooses Grand Commanding Officer ... holla atcha boy» 22:15, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
If I was deaf, I'd definitely listen. Freemorpheme.gif 22:16, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
Absolutely. Nothing makes a deaf person happier than listening to a genuine bona fide Uncyclopedia article. Crazyswordsman...With SAVINGS!!!! (T/C) 05:58, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

Eh? What was that you said sonny? Audio perversions of articles for heaving pear abusers? I didn't fight the Germans for that sort of thing, you know. --Sir Hardwick Fundlebuggy (Bleat) 07:58, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

I'm more in support of offering transcripts of UnNews reports to the blind. --CaptainSpam MUN PUTPBAA 23:12, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
I think you got that reversed. The audio version should be for our vision impared viewers (the blind) and the text version should be for our hearing impared viewers (the deaf). Maybe there should be a link to a version of the article with larger text for those that are legally blind but can only read with larger text sizes. Being disabled myself, I know how these things work. My grandfather was blind, and I work with disabled people. --Off Des Orion Blastar (talk) 23:26, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
Yes, being blind to glaring sarcasm must be a tough thing to deal with... --Jordanus 05:25, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
You have no idea of the problems I had to face because of that. Won't someone please donate to my cause? --Off Des Orion Blastar (talk) 17:37, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

Nah, the idea is to make the lame man see and the blind man walk, like in this old German folk tune [1]:

O, I am the Doctor Eisenbart, Twil-li, wil-li, witt, boom boom!
I'll cure your ills with healing art, Twil-li, wil-li, witt, boom boom!
Now I can Make the dumb to walk, Twil-li, wil-li, witt, boom boom boom!
The lame to see, the blind to talk, Twil-li, wil-li, witt, boom boom! [2]
  • I can pretend to be deaf quite well, and I don't like the ide. Oh, and maybe snaz the links up? It blends into the article. --The Zombiebaron 01:03, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
  • Perhaps brail is something we might want to look into as well? for the paraplegics? --Anyone 15:29, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
I like that idea - strolling articles for those with no legs. Freemorpheme.gif 18:11, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

I listened to one of those dealies on one of the articles and I'm sorry for the rude comment but, hey Jitenya, have you ever heard of not breathing into the microphone when you're trying to record speech, for the audible article? With that out of the way, I must say that this is a very good idea. In fact, I should start recording audible articles myself. --General Insineratehymn 01:50, 7 October 2006 (UTC)

It gives a sort of porno effect of breathing too hard to the audio. It makes you wonder what the speaker was doing while reporting the article. --Off Des Orion Blastar (talk) 04:52, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
I have a hearing impairment and I say fuck the hearing impaired. We need to get laid more often instead of listening to shit that we cannot hear. Spacer.gifSpacer.gifPremierTomMayfairChe.png RedPhone.png Unsoc.png Hammer and sickle.png 12:53, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
