I have a question. Is there a welcoming commitee around here....because I know I am a n00b, but I have some expirience with wikis. If so, I would like to join. And tell me if you can about any other commitees or where to find users that need welcoming. Please? Thank you!! Unme93 02:23, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

There's not a committee per se; generally, it's the administrators who leave welcome notes on the pages of new users to let them know who we are and where they should come for help. If you feel the need to keep busy, more useful things for you to do can be found here and here. And are you sure you have experience with wikis? You keep commenting out your own question... -- Sir Codeine K·H·P·B·M·N·C·U·Bu. · (Harangue) 02:30, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
When you say "administrators", I'm sure you meant "mostlinked whores". Spang talk 04:20, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

Well.. Maybe we should have a welcoming committee that he can help out in? --Chronarion 04:49, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

I thought the {{welcome}} wagon was the Welcoming committee... Maj.png Major Sir Hinoa (Plead) (KUN) 05:23, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
I'll start a welcoming commitee then! Unme93 13:51, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
We already have an unofficial one thanks..... -- Sir Mhaille Icons-flag-gb.png (talk to me)

Unme93, please take the time to read our guidelines and policies and to contribute to the wiki before attempting to implement new policy. One of the things that really rubs us up the wrong way is when someone turns up out of the blue and starts telling us how to run the site. This can take the form of creating new "official" templates, attempting to alter voting procedures or create new committees (for example). Please don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that you're unwelcome (oh, the irony) or that those ideas are necessarily bad ones, just that they'll be more favourably looked upon if you get some edits under your belt first. -- Sir Codeine K·H·P·B·M·N·C·U·Bu. · (Harangue) 16:32, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

Please take note that rubbing us up the right way includes pvc gloves and lashings and lashings of baby oil. -- Sir Mhaille Icons-flag-gb.png (talk to me)
Oh God, is it that time again already? *sigh*. I'll get the hose. -- Sir Codeine K·H·P·B·M·N·C·U·Bu. · (Harangue) 16:36, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
Thank you, gentlemen, for the lovely imagery. If anyone needs me, I'll be outside knocking my soiled brains out with a brick. --The King In Yellow (Talk to the Dalek.) 19:10, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

Hmm... I don't think you really want Unme93 to be a welcomer: [| An example of his welcoming style] --Composure1 02:16, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

So he posts here requesting to ride Uncyclopedia's Welcome Wagon and not even a day later posts that on a new user's talk page? What the crap is that? -- Imrealized ...hmm? 19:52, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

Vote for voting commitee

They'd vote, and organise votes, and stuff. Or something. Possibly. Or better, just pretend to do that.
