History[edit | edit source]

Former owner of Analog channel 69[edit | edit source]

Originally the WSEE call sign was going to be given to K23CD,an Experimental Station in the 1920s.It’s transmitter got destroyed by a river flood in 1930,and had to cease operations.5 years later,WPUT in that same Area Signed on as K32LP,and became the new owner of the Frequency.

As WPUT[edit | edit source]

Originally, the station was an NBC station owned by the Ralsei Corporation with the call sign WPUT.WPUT broadcasted for only 5 hours a day, which expanded from 5 to 6 hours in 1946 and 6 to 10 hours in 1950.In 1965 it became owned by Shimmer Broadcasting which changed the affiliation to CBS and Changed the call sign to WSEE,meaning: We SEE that this affiliation changed nothing.

As WSEE[edit | edit source]

Late Analog[edit | edit source]

In 1985,The -TV suffix was added to the call sign.In 1999,a The WB affiliate signed on cable known as WCDP that was technically the same thing as WSEE,just under a different name.In 2007 the station’s Digital Signal Signed on.The thing was they used the CW the Digital Signal. This caused enough issues that when the Pope visited Memphis for turning Elvis Presley into a Saint, the TV reportedly had enough static that it had to be fixed by Linux Tech Support.WSEE-TV then changed the digital signal to CBS and the CW was back on cable only.At the Time and To this day,the Station had a pretty good signal that allowed it to go as far as Illinois.

Digital Age[edit | edit source]

When the Digital transition came around because the FCC got cursed out by an elderly person,WSEE-TV could now slide in the CW onto 69.2,allowing people to enjoy their Television without resorting to Piracy.

Subchannel History[edit | edit source]

WSEE 69.2[edit | edit source]

As said in History,Originally the station was a The WB affiliate on Cable, before an incident with the Pope and eventually becoming the CW.The Station is on 720p with an aspect ratio of 26:18,Although usually it’s Cropped so people don't notice.

WSEE 69.3[edit | edit source]

69.3 was originally a Decades affiliate from it’s beginning in 2010 along with 69.4. This Lasted until a year later when they decided to broadcast Infomercial Programming in the Night and H&I in the day.And then Paramount created a Nickelodeon Affiliates Network In 2020,Causing the Dual Affiliation to be pushed out of 69.3. To this Day Nick remains with a 487.7i SubChannel.

WSEE 69.4&5[edit | edit source]

Heroes and Icons and the Infomercials as a result split up into 2 subchannels,Both of which created in 2015.Both of which on 240p.

Programming[edit | edit source]

69.1[edit | edit source]

On CBS,they usually air the regular CBS shows, with News lasting from 5-10 am branded as “Newssisippi.” and written as newssisippi. During late nights they occasionally air Cookie Chef, the desert equivalent of your average food network. As a joke in 2020 in April 1st they replaced all news programming with the reading of UnNews.

69.2[edit | edit source]

On the CW 69 they air regular CW stuff including syndicated stuff such as a lot of Anime shows and those random theory things on Youtube. The Theory stuff is just so they don’t get berated by the FCC over educational programming.

69.3[edit | edit source]

On Nickelodeon they are too lazy to actually put in effort in their own programming and just simulcast from the main cable network.

69.4[edit | edit source]

Just like Nick, Heroes and Icons do their own programming simulcasted as always.

69.5[edit | edit source]

The Informercials are usually from Midnight to noon with an WSEE-FM HD1 filling up the rest.Due to WSEE-FM being just Radio, they use Fish to do it.The louder the audio is,the faster the fish is moving.Usually the fish is a Trout but they occasionally switch to a red snapper or tuna.

Technical Information[edit | edit source]

Affiliations[edit | edit source]

The Station’s signal is multiplexed.

Digital Transition[edit | edit source]

Due to WSEE-TV’s Analog Transmitter failing 35 times in total from 2005-2008,The Signal shut down early on UHF channel 69 in May 2009.

Sister Station[edit | edit source]

WSEE-TV has an FM Counterpart on 97.5 FM called WSEE-FM broadcasting Food Pyramid information and why you should look for my Toothbrush. No seriously where is it?
