♥♥♥ I love you. ♥♥♥
[edit source]

The reason for this being that I get to use this new and shiny template to say hi!! Yes, this does indeed mean I lied to you -- you smell and no one loves you. Anyways, you look like you could use a buddy. We're all good friends around here, so here's some important stuff to help you out!

WELCOME.

If for some reason you you still want to find out more, these will help a bunch!

One more thing! When you do stuff, remember to sign your name using four tildes or just that weird looking sign (Button sig.png) button at the top of the little edit box thingy. Anyways, I've gotta go practice being a fairy princess. Love, Ethine sig.png

WELCOME TO UNCYCLOPEDIA[edit source]

WELCOME!!![edit source]

Welcome![edit source]

Don't mind me. I'm just here for the enem- I MEAN WELCOME! WELCOME!

Hello, Ragemonkey, and welcome to Uncyclopedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If not, the door's right over there... no, a little more to your left... yeah. Anyway, my name is RAHB, and I'll be your guide through the mystical land of Uncyclopedia. We'll begin the tour with a few helpful links for noobies:

  • Beginner's Guide - A massive guide about how to be the best you can be at Uncyclopedia. I've honestly never read the whole thing in one sitting myself, but it is very useful if you're looking for help on a specific issue.
  • Our Vanity Policies - This page details the site's policy's on notability of topics used for articles. Vanity is something taken very seriously here, but if you abide by this policy everything will be just fine.
  • How to be funny and not just stupid - This is our flagship link. This will tell you how to not get booed off the metaphorical stage that is Uncyclopedia. If you're having trouble coming up with funny ideas, or maybe need a refresher on the comedic process, this is a good page to read for some help.
  • Uncyclopedia:Best of - This is a page filled with a list of our featured articles, all of the pages that have graced the main page over the years. Another great one if you're looking for inspiration.

Now that that's out of the way, take a look to your right, and you'll notice some more links, these ones are about help in general:

At Uncyclopedia, writing articles is not a requirement, but I do recommend it, it can be quite enjoyable, and it's a good chance to let others take notice of your writing. To write an article, it's recommended that you start it in your userspace (for example, User:Ragemonkey/Article about stuff) so you can edit it at your leisure. If you decide to create it in the cold world of mainspace, make sure it is in accordance with the policies laid out above, and if you're not done put the "Work-In-Progress" template - {{construction}} - onto it as well.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask me on my talk page, and also check out the link I mentioned earlier. Additionally, the Uncyclopedian Adopt-a-Noob program is there to bring experienced editors straight to you. Browse our list of available mentors, and leave them a message on their talk page. I hope you enjoy editing here and being an Uncyclopedian, and remember: Have fun with it. We are a humor wiki, so don't worry about taking things too seriously. We're here to have a good time and to have a good laugh. Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~) or use the "sign" button (Button sig.png) above the edit box. This will automatically produce your name and the date. Once more, thank you for your contributions and welcome! I'll be seeing you around. -RAHB 22:53, July 1, 2010 (UTC)

Welcome![edit source]

Hi. I'm great. You should read an article or two by me. Learn from them my child. I'm here if you ever have a question. MegaPleb Dexter111344 Complain here 22:58, July 1, 2010 (UTC)

Hellmoo[edit source]

Howdy. I have taken notice of your article on Hellmoo, a game that apparently exists (I'd never heard of it). Welcome to the wiki, gratz on writing a full-length article, but I don't think you're quite done with it yet. I was reluctant to ICU the page when I saw it (which basically means mark it for deletion in a week if it's not improved; standard procedure for less-than-average new articles) because I can tell that you put effort into it, and to be fair, a decently long article is much better than no article at all.

I have a few suggestions for you that might help you improve the page. Peruse the How To Be Funny And Not Just Stupid article, which is sort of our guide for producing acceptable articles. It contains a list of helpful tips for producing satirical masterpieces- and for the record, you can browse the featured article list to see the best articles people here have created. Perhaps some of them can give you an idea of what we like. There's also a Top 10 list for each year if you're in a hurry.

Now for some specific advice. First of all, cut down on the blatant sexual humor and swearing. I know it's fun to write like that, but once you've been on the site for a while and you see it millions of times, it gets rather old. Second, remove a lot of the external links throughout your article. When people read an article they don't want to open up other pages and read further just to get the jokes you're presenting, so concentrate your humor onto the page itself. (Naturally, links to other Uncyclopedia pages are accepted and encouraged.) Third, and this is related to the second point, you may wish to keep in mind that the average Uncyclopedian will likely have not heard of Hellmoo (as I said, I hadn't) and that if you have too many jokes that rely on knowledge of the game, the average Uncyclopedian won't get those jokes and therefore won't find the article funny. Expanding your arsenal to a more general level of humor, or writing the article cleverly, will help with that.

If you have any questions, feel free to leave a note on my talk page. Additionally, we have a peer review system, where you can get an in-depth review of your article and improvement suggestions from people who are better at that sort of thing than I am. So again, welcome to Uncyclopedia (as though you don't have enough of those on your talk page) and good luck with your page. --Andorin Kato 05:28, July 13, 2010 (UTC)
