- I concur with WohMi. As I said at The Place, this looks like another situation where Gale5050 has written a pointless essay/policy that happens to be only about him. Gale5050, just like your "competence is required" thing, I think you've done it again. I think you are the only one this whole thing pertains to, and I don't think we need this. - Gale5050, I think you need to change your editing patterns when 40% of your edits are on user talk pages, most of the time arguing the same points over and over again unconstructively. - Gale, being as nice as possible, those articles weren't very good. You pumped at least one out daily, and most of them boiled down to weather reports with swears in them. Besides, I don't think you should be creating and enforcing policies willy-nilly, especially if those policies could put your own account in jeopardy.-WohMi, the best damn duelist on this website (talk) 23:42, 3 March 2021 (UTC)
- Yes, but it's a situation of "the UnNews weather report". Most of the UnNews articles were because the news had to come out. You can't really take your time on a weather report, weather changes. As an example, none of North Dakota is now above 50°F. Sure, some articles can turn out really nice if I were to put time in it, like Super Bowl 55 and Ted Cruz and 1961 retirements, but some just aren't meant. Also, this is essay, not policy, check the top. Many if the user talk edits were (1) before my sanctions when I could welcome users and (2) a necessity, I have to go to User talk:Cassie to get many things done. I have made ~29% of my edits in mainspace like things. It sucks too, because no one wants to review my articles at UN:PEE, which means they do not get improved and just...rot. My sanctions heavily impact what I can't right; you just can't right many hurricane articles that are funny. And especially public weather reports, in my newest article I made one pretty funny freezer joke, but that's about all I can produce. In any case, I'll probably userfy for now, and see what happens later. This way, we can see if it is needed. Albeit it probably will be at some point; it was invoked for Njs02 (talk) – contribs (new • del) • edit-count • block (rem • list) • all logs • groups • checkuser and Jarl Jensen (talk) – contribs (new • del) • edit-count • block (rem • list) • all logs • groups • checkuser, both suspected spambots/SPAs. And that is when NOTHERE becomes crucial; it's an important trilogy. There just isn't that much humor that can be made, yet that is pretty important news. - You missed the crucial point of UnNews: It's not intended to be news, or factual. As I said earlier, the articles were mostly just news reports with swears in them. I don't come on Uncyclopedia to learn current events or to learn the weather, I come on to look at funny parodies. Making a weather report with swearing isn't funny. Making up a weather report with something zany happening or making something that absolutely didn't happen, happen is funny. I believe I sent a message your way a while back about the pee reviews, but I'll summarize here. Nobody wants to put their time into a pee review when the article that they're reviewing probably took less time to make than the review. I understand that it's tough with your sanctions, but I feel maybe if you focused less on telling Kev what spambot IPs that haven't ever been on Uncyclopedia before are, you could probably put more time into articles, and thus make it so it looks like you actually tried on your UN:News/other articles. I will say one thing though. My brain just....doesn't allow me to make up stuff? That freezer joke was a real effort, but the only other one I can think of was that the Dakotas turned into a desert.
