The History of the Atom[edit source]

Probably needs some familiarity with the development of atomic structure, sorry.

Humour: 8.5 Yay, a physics article! Let's see, then ...

Overall I would say this has good humour on two levels: making fun of everyone as you go, and maintaining a constant prevalent pro-British imperialist tone that serves to be humorous per se. At the same time, you didn't make everything up just for laughs. For example, Thomson claiming electrons for Victoria Regina is absolutely hilarious without being entirely baseless. But who am I to say? Anyway, humour is fantastic, and without problem from my viewpoint.

Concept: 8 For me, science is very hard to make fun of, but the history of science is filled with personalities and attitudes that are incredibly fun to make fun of. Thus the history of the atom is a great target for satire, and the fact that this article is in the guise of part of a pro-British Empire series is icing on the cake. Great concept.
Prose and formatting: 8 I see no problem with formatting; nicely done. I see some minor orthographical errors that a) should be remedied with a quick proofread and/or SpellCheck, and b) do not impact enjoyment of the article too much. Nevertheless, I would recommend fixing those errors up.
Images: 8.5 The images nicely complement the article's content—not at all random, and the captions are great. Especially the cat-in-a-box image and the caption with it.
Miscellaneous: 9 Overall a quality article with good humour and concept. Fantastic.
Final Score: 42 And there's your answer.
