Uncyclopedia:Pee Review/Police box
Police box[edit source]
Seeing that YTTE has mysteriously vanished and with YTTE my chances of getting an opinion on the article, I will submit this for a review. Sir MacMania GUN—[15:49 13 Aug 2010]

Humour: | 4 | This article is a very... different, i guess you could call it. The humor is unexpected, which i absolutely love. Now the other form of humor that is good is irony, but it seems that rather than irony, it was just coincidence, because it happened to look at the wikipeia article. Did you Spork it? Because if you did you really should put the tag at the bottom.
Now this article is great, and it really isn't needing a breakdown because it seems that you know what your doing! But the biggest problem i find in articles is there is too many facts, and too little jokes. When you make an article so unexpected like this, making all the page only facts is a VERY BAD IDEA. This sort of article needs more jokes, more irony, and more unexpected twists. I loved the beginning, but that's because it was the only joke, the rest was just backing it up. To be honest, in the middle of the article i actually nearly fell asleep. Now that may be because i was up all night, but still, to be honest, that just shows that there were not many jokes. One thing you did do that i love to see is make what i call "funny links", like the American Telephone box link and the link leading to vogon. But you need more of them, linking words like "fire" and "thief" are boring. For example: These words should not be linked. Overall the only really funny thing was the first paragraph, which made me laugh hysterically, after that it was all quite bland (the last section was pretty good as well actually). You should go over the article and add joke here and there, especially in the links. |
Concept: | 8 | I love this articles idea. It's cleaver, it's funny and just plain unexpected. For you to take such a boring thing and turn it into a time travailing devise... it's just brilliant! I just simply wish that you would have taken advantage of such a great idea. I mean if every paragraph was as good as the first it would be brilliant!
One thing i think you should do is add a new section with a name something along the lines of Uses in History". It should contain when the boxes have actually been used and by who for what reason. This section should probably be a chart or a list. It should include things like historic Assassinations, Big time doozies and maybe global disasters, but make them humorous... which really isn't easy. I also think you should remove the stuff about Doctor Who. It's really confusing and irrelevant. If you feel as if it should remain, please edit it so people with weak minds or people that are sleepy can follow it. Is Doctor who a real show? I think think it is, and that's another thing, inside jokes aren't good to have in an article... for obvious reasons, nobody gets them! |
Prose and formatting: | 6 | Your intro is a bit too long. To tell you the truth, moved it all but the first paragraph to a new section, it would be perfect. Maybe something called "Description" or "Purpose". You see, when you give an article a gaint ongoing intro, it makes the article look long and overboard. A short (but not too short) and snappy intro that gets straight to the point is all you need.
Other than that the page is neat and tidy, aside from too many links at the bottom it is well made... oh wait... i think you started speaking engrish at the lost and found section... you might want to fix that up. |
Images: | 9 | Great images. Perfect amount, perfect images, but no-so-perfect captions. I would advise you to add a bit more humor to them |
Miscellaneous: | 7 | Just a little bump because the last section wasn't really mentioned in the review, and i thought it was quite funny. |
Final Score: | 34 | Great job... i would say something about keeping up good work but I'm in a hurry so... great job. |
