UnNews talk:Abby Martin ‘non-notable’ Wikipedia ban boosts notability
Thanks for the funny article, though (because I'm a nit picker) I have to ask: was she blocked, banned or deleted? – Llwy-ar-lawr (talk • contribs • logs) 17:18, 17 Feb 2014
- She was deleted, twice, and then a temporary block was placed on any new article. The problem was lack of Main Stream media coverage. Her new Wikipedia article is now up for a review and she'll be back up soon. In any case, her article is not my work, only the ironic UnNews is mine. Thanks for the compliment. Its always nice when somebody laughs at our jokes - Cheers!--Funnybony 17:35, Feb 17
- I see, thanks. – Llwy-ar-lawr (talk • contribs • logs) 17:57, 17 Feb 2014
- I'm sorry that this kind of stupid shit happened Funnybony. You do realise that the community loves your articles and values you writing...right? --ShabiDOO 20:22, 17 February 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks ShabiDoo, much appreciated.--Funnybony 12:59, Feb 18
- Speak for yourself ShabiDoo. The only thing I've ever loved by Funnybony is the unnews about throwing the pope out with the bathwater, or was it the one about crocodiles being crucified, or maybe the last stand of the Dodo bird, I don't know. If SPIKE ever decides he needs a writing coach, Funnybony would be it (opposites sometimes play well together). And we should feature this page just to make a point (the Mars page too - Shab, lots more of those spoke things have been found, and you should see the latest mars creature, I'll link it on your page). Funnybony, an uncy treasure! Aleister an hour later
- RT is actually odd to watch. Check out the perfect American accent of the first presenter suddenly punctured by the weeeeeeird pronunciation of Martin. It makes one think of KGB. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKI0j18Ylpg Leverage (talk) 16:53, 18 February 2014 (UTC)
- Funnybony, I don't know much about the event and so I didn't understand whether the extracts below contained any jokes:

"The Abby Martin who interviews noteworthy people from Larry King to Jimmy Hoffa and has guests ranging from Oliver Stone to Kid Galahad."
- Hi Anton, you might be too young to know that Larry King and Oliver Stone are not real people. The only real people are Elvis and the Force. Plus, it seems that the irony of banning her for being non-notable resulting in both her and Wikipedia getting more notable is as good an irony as any other.--Funnybony 18:42, Feb 18
"So by banning Abby Martin for being non-notable, Wikipedia has enabled her to be more notable. And soon her newly qualified article may be placed back on Wikipedia’s main space. Such are the mysterious ways of the force." Anton (talk) 17:22, 18 February 2014 (UTC)
- And even ironic-er...by userspacing this article...it ends up getting read by even more users. --ShabiDOO 20:45, 18 February 2014 (UTC)
- Spike's single vote failed the vfh nomination. That should give a good indication of how much activity they have. Not that much. It's also sad, though, because the article is funny (at least I thought the bits about interviewing nonexistent people were funny) and imho Spike is full of it when it comes to 'agendas', including in this case. – Llwy-ar-lawr (talk • contribs • logs) 01:59, 19 Feb 2014
- No, SPiKe's vote didn't fail it, he just all by himself decided to user space it and take it off VFH because he thought it advocated - one of the rules he makes up when he wants to and changes policy all the time on his own. May have been the worse decision in uncy's history to make him an admin, and the other admins there allow him to do this. I have no idea what's wrong with Romartus, Simi, Frosty, Chief and others who let him do things like destroy this UnNews page (he did it with my perfectly good Mars UnNews as well). sPikE is a good poopsmith, a lousy administrator. Right now they are almost getting rid of Absolute Power on VFD, one of the early historic articles on both sites, and I would urge a Keep vote from anyone who still cares a little. Aleister 4:07 19=2=14
- Ok, sorry for misunderstanding.
- Chief isn't active; the others rank no higher than Spike, as Chief is the only crat around to my knowledge, and they don't want to make Spike mad or be seen as too radical or whatever. At least that's roughly what Simsie said, though it was in relation to appealing blocks and she said she didn't want to be the one everyone came to to get unblocked, or something.
- I think Spike is just lousy at stuff that involves interacting with other people. He bites. He also has an inability to recognise when he's wrong and a significantly drier, subtler sense of humour than those of others, and all that combined with a tendency to be strict and wikipedian makes, well, a mess.
- ...and here I go again, on about Spike and everything we already know. Enough. Can we just stick to the fork and avoid getting into messes? I think it's the only way. – Llwy-ar-lawr (talk • contribs • logs) 04:22, 19 Feb 2014

I thought en.uncyclopedia.co was created for people to write some funny stuff. I thought it was needed because you thought wikia's policies harmed the humour of uncyclopedia. If you just wanted to discuss the administrators of uncyclopedia, you did not have to move away from wikia. Anton (talk) 10:50, 19 February 2014 (UTC)
- Nobody is saying that, but now that you mention it it is in fact easier to discuss the administrators of uncyclowikia on the fork because you're not supposed to talk about them wrong over there. But of course that was not why the fork was created. – Llwy-ar-lawr (talk • contribs • logs) 11:33, 19 Feb 2014
- I agree, Spike-bashing has become so prevalent that it is tended to be seen as a cliché rather than a legitimate complaint. I came here to avoid both Spike and Wikia, and I think we should all make the most of the resulting freedom! --Leverage (talk) 11:37, 19 February 2014 (UTC)
