It all comes down to whether the article makes me laugh though. The article doesn't make me laugh. I know there was a lot of work put into it, and I was there to see it. It's good, but gets too caught up in continuity, and drags a bit. I also feel like it lacks direction. When I read this, I'm not really sure who's writing the article. Is it the vaguely conservative, overtly patriotic tone of a political lobbyist for Joe's campaign, or the omnipotent encyclopedic style of a historian from the future? There are also a few random one-line things thrown in that, while they may have been funny if expanded on, really just confused me when I read them. I just removed two examples in the lead section. It's a good length, gets the point across about Joe's life up to the end of his first term (which, as stated in the intro, is the cut-off point of this article's timeline). It's got some darn good photos, lots of detail, and if it gets longer, I think it'll start to bore people. I personally think it's the perfect length for an article in this sense, and I hope people will rethink their votes.
