You know what could be funny? If our new Uncycloversity Fighting Sophias had a sports rivalry with the Encylopedia Dramatica Tech Lulzes in Making Up Oscar Wilde Quotes. Fans would fill Oscar Wilde memorial stadium and we'd beat them every time. Crazyswordsman...With SAVINGS!!!! (T/C)

The MSNBC story worries me. It never mentions ED by name, but does describe the site as "a Web site devoted to parodies and satires online." Which is giving ED way too much credit, for one, and for two basically describes us. What if people start to associate our name with it, since we have a much more visible profile? I was bothered by that, too. I'm glad I wasn't the only one that it jumped out at. I didn't mention it because I didn't want to sound paranoid... That is a very poor description of ED and it's actually a description of us. Their Alexa rank that shot to nearly 1000 has been dropping like a rock, too. But they are already pushing it falsely as a reason their site is worthy of inclusion on WP and claim it means they are more popular than uncyc. We're still looking for a clean uncyclopedia way to bring people to our land of satire and parody (except I wanted to spoof a news reporter and interview some media whores, but that got shot down). » Brig Sir Dawg | t | v | c » 04:09, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

I'll probably go straight to Hell for suggesting this

In my opinion, the funniest thing we could do with this is to make a parody of it called RFJesus CL Experiment, in which a "ChristsList" user named "Jesus" invites people to respond to this posting:

i have everything that i need at my church....that is where we will pray....no 
exceptions............. we will pray at my church...got it??????????

...And so on, and then there's this big deal about all the "drama" this causes, and how it starts a whole new religion, and then goes on to list all the people who replied, all of whom are major religious figures in their own right, such as all Twelve Apostles, Martin Luther, St. Thomas Aquinas, and so on, and at the end there are repostings of IRC channel logs where Jesus is chatting with various people, etc., etc., etc.

Beyond that, I really wouldn't worry about any of this negatively affecting Uncyc - after the initial blitz of empty legal threats are dispensed with, this will be forgotten about in 2-3 weeks, maybe sooner. Nobody ever actually sues anybody over sexual peccadilloes, I'm afraid, even if actual laws are broken, as in this case.
