Where you going?[edit source]

hey.....where you going to? -- Sir Mhaille Icons-flag-gb.png (talk to me)

Thanks for asking. I got fed up with the removal of Texas Jewboys from VFH and decided to take a summer break. I have also been huffing kittens. Keep up the work and see you in autumn. Or sometime.--Suresh simple.png Swami A. Suresh 00:13, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
Yeah it was a shame, I know I've had a few that "almost" made the grade. Hopefully disappointment makes you a better writer. :) Keep in touch.....come visit it here and in IRC from time to time. We'll miss you. -- Sir Mhaille Icons-flag-gb.png (talk to me)

You Back?[edit source]

Send me an email via my User Page..... -- Sir Mhaille Icons-flag-gb.png (talk to me)

E-mail? Where? Anyway, I WILL be away entire July and have loads of profylactic work to do this week. But I can't keep myself for doing some protective reverts on pages I care about. U can reach me at my junk mail adress ramarren@hotmail.com

Hey[edit source]

while checking my watchlist, i noticed your edit in India and felt glad to learn that you still visit uncyc. i wanted to say that that was great job in C. :) the function describing "history of india" i mean. good job rescuing it from the brink of VFDarkness too, once upon a time. -- mowgli 04:33, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for noticing, and yyeah - I'm still committed - or addicted to a few pages. --Suresh simple.png Swami A. Suresh 10:10, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

you should spend more time here. cut down on lunching, sleeping, sexing and waking. focus yourself and try sticking to more worthwhile pursuits (like here) than living a life that wouldn't appear worth having lived in retrospect. see u around. -- mowgli 21:06, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

I have taken notice. Most of my focusing efforts though involves keeping away from here in one way or another - so really you should't attack my focusing ability - but my aim.

BTW - Aap hindi janta hai? I have thrown out my TV-antenna through the windom (true) in order to focus entirely on Bollywood flicks, such as "Kuchh meeTha ho jaye" aur " "Shadi se pahle". THAT is focusing!! --Suresh simple.png Swami A. Suresh 22:26, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

I've given up on focusing and my new aim is to become blurred. -- Sir Mhaille Icons-flag-gb.png (talk to me)
lol. lol. -- mowgli 06:58, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
yup i speak hindi. it's my native tongue. but english is my 1st language (inasmuch as "hindi" is my 2nd language). i don't know how this happened 'cos there seems to be some sort of a contradiction hidden in there - you know better. speaking of bollywood, there are a couple of current flicks (malamal weekly; shaadi se pehle & tom, dick and hari) that have been with me (cds) for over a month but i nether get around to watching them nor returning them to the video parlour. rental bill is mounting and i think i'll watch 'em over this weekend and return them fast. we need an article on "bollywood" and i've been thinking of writing one -- inspired by these comments by vandal 202.147.184.104, here: [1]. I found his comments really hilarious when i first read them and thought they'd be a good thing to start an article on bollywood with, viz. quote him and support his contention all through the article. well, some day. -- mowgli 06:58, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
speaking of 1st, 2nd and 3rd languages, notice that the indian census, 1991 (image of table captured from the census pdf file at this source) claims that 16.6 % of urdu speakers of india speak hindi as a 2nd language and that a remarkable 4% of urdu speakers speak hindi as a 3rd language (an acquired skill, no doubt. how difficult must it be for an urdu speaker to learn to speak hindi as a 3rd class language?). actually this is really unfair. if the indian census is going to be a travesty of itself then what are we uncyclopedians going to do? i suppose go back to watching bollywood movies. ah, well. -- mowgli 08:14, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
btw, thanks for the cookie cake (re: my talk). :) i'll share its icing with sir mhaille (just the icing sir mhaille -- don't get your hopes high now). -- mowgli 15:13, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

Hindi[edit source]

check Hindi. i've noticed you working on Sanskrit too. see you there (after we r done with "hindi") -- mowgli 17:27, 20 August 2006 (UTC)

if you could proof-read it when u have time ('cos i'm done with it) and make changes that you'd like too (maybe revert the wildeism - it's still not funny - or get rid of it altogether and other changes and, oh yeah, format the footnote or get rid of it and other unfunny stuff) then i could get on with life (like editing "sanskrit"). -- mowgli 06:26, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
Well - I don't agree with all your changes. Some of them are good healthy jokes, others are overly indian. There are some traces of explaining the joke here and there and even facts, something you must be very careful with.
I am not Indian and I do not speak hindi so well, so I tend to see the language from outside and may make some obvious miskates while describing it. You know it from inside and may keep it a bit to personal and unnecessary elaborate. Also - never underestimate non-speakers difficulties to see the fun in minor exchanges between fact from fiction. And above all - be careful with facts. :-)

I suggest this. I make small revisions of your changes, one at the time and try to explain why. You accept if you accept and revert if you don't. Then we can start throwing flame Pasupatas on each other. Agree?--Suresh simple.png Swami A. Suresh 22:21, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

I make small revisions of your changes, one at the time and try to explain why. You accept if you accept and revert if you don't. that sounds good! you can make 2/3 or more changes at a time with brief reasons. it'll help me write comedy better here too. go on. also thanks for effort you're talking tho. (the 2 edits you've already made are good) -- mowgli 05:52, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

template[edit source]

i just noticed that you've been working on template europa while going through your "contribs." what a coincidence for i was thinking of creating a similar template for south asia. wikipedia uses template asia: [2]. now i was wondering if we should use the same template or have two; one for "south asia" & one for asia? personally i think "south asia" may give it a divisive spin (especially when wikipedia includes it in asia). what do you think? -- mowgli 08:49, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

Mowgli ... I was one who started the Europa template in preference and was eventually planning to start one for Asia as a continent. I would prefer not to see a proliferation of regional templates - in order to prevent page clutter. In view of overlapping regions (i.e., what's East Asia vs. Southeast Asia vs. South Asia?), it would be preferable to have one single template for Asia rather than having one for each region of Asia. The template on English Wikipedia would be a good one to spork[3] - though perhaps without the footnotes. --Ogopogo 15:14, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

done! i'm in harmony with you. but why exclude footnotes? oh dear, why be such a killjoy? did you know:
(1) are partly submerged underwater; and (2) are partly or wholly submerged under sea but believed to be having a subterranean connection with australia
so who kicks it off? if you can create the basic template adapted for uncyclopedia, i'd be glad to fill the red links and append the template to relevant pages. -- mowgli 15:54, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

template:Europe[edit source]

Suresh ... Thanks for your ideas about using names of Roman provinces (but some of the Roman provinces were much larger than the current country (e.g., Poland) or now only represent part of the country (e.g., Dalmatia region of Croatian). But I'm concerned that the template could become high maintenance as people invent their own Latin names. By using the Latin Wikipedia names as the standard, it would allow easy reverts of inevitable assine edits by passers-by with non-Latinate names or completing stupid ones. Therefore, I've revised the template so that we go back to original concept of Latin Wikipedia country names. They look Latinate enough overall without Romanizing - Too many unrecognizable names make the template hard to appreciate for the casual passer-by. By the way, I really like your idea about Thule Ultima. Looking at the Wikipedia article for Thule Ultima, I was thinking it would be great to have a real article for it! --Ogopogo 15:01, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

Well - I agree with you at large, so no offence. But I suggest a few a few changes anyway. For those obviusely non-roman names where there are quite well knowned roman alternatives you should change - or at least combine, such as Ukrainia (Scythia) and Bysans (instead of Turcia)

More suggestions: Thrakia for Bulgaria, Frisia för Netherlands and, well Germay I have changed already...--Suresh simple.png Swami A. Suresh 21:08, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

LOL[edit source]

lol. -- mowgli 18:29, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

LOL. very imaginative flag & COA of Sri Lanka! you're particularly good at parodying them! -- mowgli 09:12, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
i particularly like the barcode flag, lol. -- mowgli 09:13, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
I like the barcode flag too, mainly because it is totally incomprehensible for those who doesn´t know the original and yet demands a little association ability from those who do. Good jokes should demand some effort from the reader. But I also like it becouse it's a drawing of wikipedia:George Herriman in there. --Suresh simple.png Swami A. User:Suresh/India[edit source]

i came across this page while following the "what links to this" in Taj Mahal and this bit, The primary export of India is India ink, which is produced in massive quantities by the Indian-held megacorporation India Inc. for export worldwide -- which i think is hilarious. why don't you consider adding t to India. -- mowgli 08:25, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

Add it you. This is what the page looked like when I saved it from NRV, I have unawaringly kept it ever since. --Suresh simple.png Swami A. Suresh 12:47, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

thy weesh ij my kommand master -- mowgli 17:44, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
btw, this line is the FIRST line in uncyclopedia that made me laugh hysterically at my computer screen (india was among the first pieces i ran into, here, incidentally): Economically, India is very large, as large numbers of people have to live economically. (it's not without a reason that no one has dared edit/alter/accentuate it) that was also when i decided to register here. -- mowgli 17:53, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
Hmm - I do not remember what got me going - probably the Wilde Project. But Stalin as a Mario Brother is also a High Five. --Suresh simple.png Swami A. Suresh 23:01, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

template:topics related to india[edit source]

i was wondering if it's time for such a template. considering your (relatively) deep knowledge about things indian (your "lack of organization" section in India and the fact that i perused it in detail today while editing it convinced me about your knowledge/familiarity with things indian), i thought i'd bounce this idea off your thick head. is it still premature? should we wait? if we shouldn't, then i'd like to know by when you can create this template (your other useless engagements notwithstanding!). :D -- mowgli 19:53, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

I am overworked at present. I will anser you in more detail shortly. --Suresh simple.png Swami A. Suresh 13:38, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
take your time bud. no rush. -- mowgli 18:34, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
Shoot again. ( I have been elected to the city council, but I can yet spare a few hours - I think.) :-) --Suresh simple.png Swami A. Suresh 14:39, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
they elected you to the city council???? what on earth were they thinking of? like bringing the house down??? anyways, i've created new categories under Category:India and want you to check them out. what else can we do? am in 2 minds about a template now (to group pages) unless you have a creative version in your head. also, i want to concentrate on brushing up all the pages in category:India to lift their standard a li'l bit - maybe you can help in your spare time. also, we sorely need bollywood (it has 24 links and a long huff log!). been working on Daler Mehndi since yesterday (been a bit busy myself). and hey, congrats for the city council election. :) -- mowgli 05:23, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
Abhishek Bachchan got huffed in the ongoing FFW. it was a stub alright but i feel sad and broken inside every time a bollywood star gets shot down. i'm still recovering from the feeling of loss and despair. (no i did not create the article) -- mowgli 05:29, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

Defamatory Statements[edit source]

Buddy, could you make yourself clear here just piss off - or do like the indians - drink it. Pakistan TalkPage ...trying to initiate a FlameWar...hmmm...I believe this WikiProjects are NOT the place to F*I*G*H*T...Regards,--Gopal1035 16:40, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
