Indenting: Now with Colons!

Hey there, you dirty, rotten, commie bastard. I just happened to notice that you don't indent your paragraphs! Now, I know that you Communists do things differently in that barbaric, inhospitable land that you call home; but here, in Capitalismtopia, we indent things, God damn it! "How does a primitive, barely-human Communist like myself indent paragraphs," You ask?

Like This! You see, whenever you place a ":" before a string of text, it'll indent whatever you're saying by one.

And if you place two colons, it'll indent it by two!

This continues indefinitely...

So, why do we indent? Well, it makes it easier for people (read: civilized non-Communists) to understand the flow of a conversation. For instance, take a look at this conversation:

Notice how each new line is indented? Furthermore you should note that the user A Dirty Lying Commie posted with only one indent to indicate that his message was in response to my initial post. If he had not indented at all, one would assume he was starting an entirely new train of thought; whereas, if he had indented two or more times, one might suspect he was responding to An Intelligent Guy or Pretty Damn Smart's posts.
