User:My Face Is Beautiful/The Meaning Of Life
Hey, VSauce. Michael here . ...but why am I here? Well, for educational purposes, of course. You're here because you're interested. But I'm here to explain why we're all here. Why we breathe, why we live, and why we exist. This is a very simple answer, so let me explain.
Life is all around us. Sure, it can be dogs, or moles, or even camels. It can be extant, extinct, or just undiscovered. But whatever the reason, the only life to ever think about this problem is humans. Life is the reason the earth is constantly working. And the earth is packed with life. I mean, there's about a million different identified species, and don't even get me started on unidentified or extinct species. There's a really big number on those. That's exactly why the earth is packed. You can't even go a day without seeing another creature!
Back to the question, which is "what is the meaning of life?" Well, the internet will tell you that life has no meaning. But that's just misleading, of course, everything has to have meaning. You see, life technically ius what distinguishes living things from dead things. Here, say
this balloon
was the earth. It's looking a little empty, so
let's fill it with vegetation and animals.
Woah! Okay, that's colorful. All of this is life. All living (or dead) creatures are all packed up inside this blue ball. The life creates everything we know, see, and feel. Life means living, and living is the longest, shortest, and most important thing you will ever do. Living is considered by your actions. Living, is everything... or is it?
Well, life is not exactly everything. What life is, is everything from bacteria, to chimps, to elephants, to even you. You have contributed a lot to society, but so has Leonardo da Vinci. He was a sculptor, a mathematician, a scientist, an inventor, a painter, and so much more that I can't even name. His most famous work is the Mona Lisa. Worked on in 1503 until 1517, this painting is the most viewed image. And it's all because of a heist. In 1911, the painting was stolen by Vincenzo Perugia. Next day, it was reported as missing. The two culprits were Guillaume Apollinaire and his friend, Pablo Picasso. This was then proven not to be true. The Mona Lisa, is now still in the Louvre, where it stays until further notice.
Such paintings with much popularity are called masterpieces. Another masterpiece being Starry Night. This time painted by Vincent Van Gogh. The painting depict outside his bedroom window, when he was in an asylum. Now, let's say, you look up at your bedroom window at night. You'd be able to tell it's dark, But you'd also see some stars. And there are a bunch of stars that make up our galaxy. Speaking of galaxies, a group of galaxies is called a supercluster. Ours is called the Laniakea Supercluster, which is about 520 million light years. To put that in perspective, the Earth is only 7,926 miles. The sun is only 864,000 miles. That's a lot. We are only estimated to be 6 feet, which leads us to conclude that it really is a small world. And as always, thanks for watching.
