Okay so.. me and keitei brainstormed and created Template:VPV. Basically, if a vanity article violates our policy, we can delete the article, post this template on it, and then protect it. Then, if they want to recreate the article, and promise to be good, we can remove it again. If you noticed, it's kinda of like Wikipedia's thingy... Okay, so, any objections? what the bum... why do we "vote" on everything...

This makes Special:Shortpages pretty annoying to use. I suggest making Uncyclopedia:VPV and having protected redirects to it instead. --Splaka 02:38, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

And it would make Special:Newpages easier to use, instead of hundreds of:

Erm... I thought this was going to be a temporary measure. A blank, add this template, protect. Week later, delete and CVP. I don't think it should be a delete and add this template in its stead. If it's "messing up" Shortpages, subst: the template. Geez. --KATIE!! 07:32, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

• The way I've used this system is to replace the article without deletion with the VPV template and commented-out filler text to get it off of Special:Shortpages, then protecting it. That way, you can see exactly what was wrong with the article, and you don't have to pollute Special:Newpages. —Hinoa KUN (talk) 18:54, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
