RULES

  • Each contestant should come up with a topic. The topic will be randomly assigned to ANOTHER contestant.
  • The topics will be randomly mixed up by the judges when the contest starts.
  • The name of your article is NOT NECESSARILY the topic, but it should be related to the topic, as if the topic is the category of the article. For example, if the topic is Mars, you can write David Bowie's eyeballs or something.
  • You can write any space article, like UnNews or HowTo.
  • You have 36 hours to write the article.
  • Think total creativity, utter originality, & sheer humour.
  • Three judges will award 10 points each for creativity, 10 points for originality and 10 points for sheer humour.
  • Someone wins. Everyone else doesn't win. But you're all winners.
  • We all go to an Iron Maiden concert.

February 8 - 9 for writing, and February 10 for judging.

  • I volunteer as judge. As for the date, why not February 8 - 9 for writing, and February 10 for judging? That is a Fri - Sun gap and gives people time to prepare.   • Comment: This looks unfinished. Shame to think of what could've been, but what we have now isn't much. It seems a little unoriginal to simply make your entry a sequel to an older article you wrote, but on the other hand, it is a relatively original idea in the meta-sense. Other than Kip no one else has really entertained the idea of a shared, Uncyclopedia universe through articles. Unfortunately, there just isn't really much there. A shame. 12/30

  • Comment: Kakun took a novel approach of writing his topic as an album, by Metallica. The idea of a Metallica/Microsoft cross-promotional album is genuinely funny, but it's not developed too much. The references to Wikipedia and Uncyclopedia also fall flat, although the part about Lars Ulrich using Jimbo Wale's asscheeks to play the drums is a stroke of genius. To be fair, I'm not a huge metal fan, so a lot of the references probably went over my head. Overall, a good effort. 20/30

  • Comment: Pretty good actually. Decent satire of baby boomers in the ISO standard Uncyclopedia encyclopedic parody tone. Best part is the environmental section, reminds me of that part in Slaughterhouse 5 where time goes backwards. Good stuff. EMC played it safe with the concept but it works in his favor since he's a smart, competent writer who knows what he's doing. Definitely feature quality, if there weren't already a featured article about boomers. Overall, good job. 22/30

  • Comment: I like the "scientific study" angle Jaxpool took with his concept, and although Uncyclopedia articles on semi-current internet trends usually end up being giant putrefying balls of cringe, I honestly feel that this is an exception. I like the idea of a scientific experiment to figure out how much stream sniping it would take to get Ninja to say the N-word. Very topical. Prose-wise, it still felt a bit amateurish and rushed, but the concept is A-Plus. Overall, good job. 23/30

  • Comment: Not finished, which is a shame, since I felt it was just starting to go on an interesting direction. Would going meta for this contest be considered original or unoriginal? I guess for this site it would be. How very Charlie Kaufman of you. Writing was very conversational and went off into different tangents. It might have been a bit too tangential, but the article wasn't long enough for whatever style RAHB had in mind to develop at all, which is a shame. Overall, it's OK, but too bad on not finishing it. 19/30

I hated the original "watermelon" article at the time, but making a tenth anniversary sequel to it is the kind of masterbatorial Uncyclopedia thing I enjoy. Shame you didn't finish it.
