Is there any possiblity of adding a button to the ToolBar which is at the top each editing box (where the Bold, Italics, etc. appear)?

If it could be done, the addition of a Template button which would produce a generic template call {{Template:Example}} similar to the Image button, would be a useful addtion and save a few keystrokes for those who use templates frequently. --JAX-arrgh!!! I doubt it, because if you want to get to a template, say, the NRV template, all you need to do is put that in two sets of curly braces, ie. {{NRV}}.  >Major Sir Hinoa|Talk|KUN   17:33, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, sounds like a waste of effort to me... plus I'm not sure you can do it without hacking the EMdiaWiki software itself... HOMESTAR ME!!! TURTLE ME!!! t o m p k i n s  blah. ﺞوﻦ וףה ՃՄ ண்ஸ ފއހ วอฏม +տ trade websites 21:05, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
I think I got rid of said toolbar, cause I don't see it any more. Must be something in my sporked .js file, eh? --The Zombiebaron 00:38, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

It's possible, but requires adding stuff to your user javascript. Which is not that easy if you don't know what you're doing with it. What exactly do you want to add? Spang talk 03:21, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Zocky/SearchBox.js <- Here is a good example of it being done (The interesting parts are: var ep=document.getElementById('toolbar'); and ep.appendChild(im);). Most of en.wp now uses an object called mwCustomEditButtons to add to them (which can be done more easily, eg http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Splarka/refer.js ), but that won't work here yet. --Splaka 04:45, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
Heh, if you're going to use that search box, why not just go overboard? Much more fun :) Spang talk 05:02, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
