As some of you may know, during my recent, um, absurd flamewar, I got banned from deviantart. I am in the process of trying to get unbanned there, and it was mentioned to me that since Uncyclopedia was the target of my flamewar, some testimonials from people here might help.

So if anyone wants to help me, feel free to do so here or on my talkpage, otherwise just disregard this message and get back to the funny.

I would be glad to help, but I have a bit of a bad reputation out of Uncyclopedia in some areas. Though I've never been to Deviantart, chances are they might not have heard about me there. Just mostly people who don't understand me and don't understand my humor have given me a bad reputation on various parts of the Internet. If I post something positive, and one of the people who has it in for me is on Deviantart, it might hurt more than help. I must confess I've been in more than my fair share of flamewars and even if I hardly ever started them, I did try to finish them. One thing I did learn which might help you, is to not put that much weight on what negative people say about you. Once you do that, it is less likely that you will attack back in a flamewar. If you can manage to do that, it might help you get unbanned. It is a hard process and I am trying to learn it myself, but my mental illnesses sort of get in the way and have my anger get out of control sometimes. Sometimes the best response to a flamewar is no response at all. Just my two cents, but consider that I am batshit insane myself. :) --Lt. Sir Orion Blastar (talk) 02:52, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
Now that I see how bad it got I will be sure not to get involved in another one. --Hrodulf 02:55, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
Congratulations most people don't learn from the consequences of their actions and behaviors. You just did learn from them. I think that in itself deserves an unbanning. Good luck. I was a little wary about unbanning at first (as I am for anyone who gets an infinite ban at some point), but you've been nothing but polite and civilised since you got "better", so I don't think there'd be a problem if you were unbanned from deviantart. Though maybe deleting the postings from there might be wise, if possible. It's their decision in the end I suppose, but it's only the internet. Spang talk 03:35, 13 Apr 2007

I would have deleted the postings if I could, but a quirk of deviantart (we call it "dA") is that you can't delete your posts. I don't know why this is exactly. --Hrodulf 13:34, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

Talking about that, it just came into my mind... Is that guy posting somewhere else? Did he turned into an anti-uncyclopedian? Seriously, it's curiosity. I didn't have enough contact with him to be either for or against his banning. -- herr doktor needsAgear Rocket.gif [scream!] 12:40, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

I've seen him on IRC on occasion since then, and he doesn't appear to be majorly upset about it (except for not wishing to remain involved, but ih). Besides, when he's pissed about something, he'll usually try to figure out the logic of the other person, which doesn't seem to be the case this time. --Ж Kalir, Awesome Author(alliteration affords additional awesome) 14:58, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
I just joined DeviantArt, and I searched for that guy's name. I didn't get any results. I don't know where the flamewars are located, and I don't want to read or join in them. I think it best we don't open up old can of worms and avoid opening up new cans of worms. There are some anti-Uncyclopedia people out there, some from ED, some from Wikipedia, and possibly some artists who are upset that we use art at Uncyclopedia for humor and it degrades what they are trying to do themselves. Sort of like making fun of their profession or something. Better to just ignore the anti-Uncyclopedia people anyway. If you take fuel away from a fire, it will burn out eventually. If you join in a flamewar and attack back, you are giving them more fuel to burn you with. If you do reply say things like "nice try", "I respect you too much to argue", or "I am having a hard time believing that" which are mostly neutral comments, and it denies them the fuel they need to burn you with. --Lt. I love being neutral! That way you can get XP and gold, all for one low, low price of whatever the hell you feel like doing! --Ж Kalir, Awesome Author(alliteration affords additional awesome) 15:08, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
Hooray for the Swiss! Maker of hot chocolate, army knives, cheese, cuckoo clocks, anonymous bank accounts, and has managed to stay out of wars longer than any other nation on the planet. --Lt. Sir Orion Blastar (talk) 18:35, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
