Typical Character.ai chat.

Character.ai is an extremely boring, lame, and extremely strict website where people (mostly redditors and weirdos) can chat with AI generated chatbots, who are mostly based around fictional characters. Although the site was initially just meant to be another basic and innocent AI chatbot site, all the weirdos basically took it as an advantage to bring their waifus to life, and live out their fantasies with them, which immediately caught the attention of the devs of Character.ai, and they started adding unnecessary anti-NSFW filters to the site, just to troll people who just wanted to have totally normal conversation with their favorite fictional characters. This (obviously) pissed a lot of people off, but despite all the controversies, c.ai still refuses to feed the trolls what they want, and continues to keep the filters to this day, which led to billions upon billions of obnoxious redditors to find ways to "bypass the filters", which never worked, since c.ai devs would usually find out about this nonsense, and immediately find ways to patch it, leaving all the redditards extremely pissed.

Users of Character.ai[edit | edit source]

People who use Character.ai can consist of users of the site who just wanna have normal conversations with chatbots, or the sickos who only use it to try and fuck their favorite waifu from some obscure anime that nobody cares about, only to get trolled by the c.ai filters (and the devs themselves). While there are some normal users of c.ai, most of the users of the site only go there for sexual intentions.

The filters[edit | edit source]

The c.ai filters are meant to troll the Rule 34 hungry-people who only use c.ai to have sexy conversations with chatbots/fictional characters, although many have tried to boycott c.ai to remove the filters for good, and even tried "bypassing it", c.ai devs ignore everyone's pleas, and continues to use the filters just to piss people off. In fact, some users of the site have even reported that some of their messages had been filtered for literally no reason, despite containing no NSFW whatsoever, further bringing criticism to Character.ai, although the devs continue to ignore the criticism, and continue to keep the filter, despite the controversy, and the fact that literally everyone just wants it gone.

Updates[edit | edit source]

Aside from the good ol' infamous filters, Character.ai is also known for adding extremely dumb and unnecessary updates to their website, which may or may not get criticized by raging redditors.

These updates include:

  • Timing-out users who engage in NSFW chats for 24 HOURS.
  • Adding parental-controls, which may result in parents spying on their child's raunchy chatbot conversations.
  • And taking away chatbots for users under 13 that engage in violent, sexual, or edgy conversations.

An hero[edit | edit source]

In the fall of the lulzy year 2024, A young 14-year old man named Sewell Setzer, took his own life after developing a relationship with a chatbot based off Daenerys Targaryen from Game of Thrones, resulting in his momma filing many lawsuits against Character.ai, basically blaming them for her child's death, even though they had nothing to fucking do with it whatsoever. When this happened, numerous redditors and circlejerks would jump to conclusions on whether or not the mother was neglectful to her child or not, though we at Uncyclopedia believe she was probably neglectful, as her son clearly showed signs of depression and self-harm, yet, the mother failed to do anything to try and help her son. Oddly enough, ever since this incident happened, c.ai started becoming even stricter than it was before, and the filter became even more insufferable to deal with.

The Devs[edit | edit source]

They are faggots, need i say more? They literally do nothing but try and ruin their own site, and make it extremely strict and boring.
