I've made a new award...

Implementor of the Month. It's a bit of a work-in-progress, but voting technically has begun... ?|COMRADE_PONGO_V2|RUN_CMD|RUN_GSLYR 15:41, 30 June 2007 (UTC)

You think the admins will go with it? Conniving 16:19, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
Well, I like it. I wish I could say the same for the Admins, but I guess we'll have to find out. --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 17:11, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
Well it obviously won't be limited to Grueslayer if it does pass. So why must the trophy be Grueslayer-themed? Conniving 17:28, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
First of all, I didn't know awards had to be admin-approved. Yes, there is a votes for new awards page, but Tom Mayfair's User Page of the Month is working fine, and I don't think any admin has stamped their seal of approval on it. There isn't a rule to stop anyone creating custom awards in their userspace. Isn't almost anything decent (ie. not shock images or porno) allowed in the userspace? Secondly, the trophy doesn't have to be Grueslayer-themed. If you think you can make a better one, I'd be perfectly happy for you to do it. In fact, if I judge it to be better, I'd be quite pleased! ?|COMRADE_PONGO_V2|RUN_CMD|RUN_GSLYR 17:37, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
Put a Grue fighting with an AFGNCAAP (it would fit, how many text adventure games do we have that DOESN'T feature a Grue?) atop a golden videogame controller (or keyboard, they ARE text adventures). I can't make it, I don't have Photoshop or whatever fancy program everyone has the will to buy. >_< Conniving 17:40, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
I only have Photoshop Elements, and I'm not great at using it. I'm afraid that trophy'll have to stay. Maybe someone can make an image request... ?|COMRADE_PONGO_V2|RUN_CMD|RUN_GSLYR 17:56, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
I have an idea: A Grue fighting either Grueslayer or an AFGNCAAP atop a golden NES controller! --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 22:37, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
We also need categories for being nominated for the award and actually receiving the award. --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 22:41, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
New trophy! Wooh! ?|COMRADE_PONGO_V2|RUN_CMD|RUN_GSLYR 10:16, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
Nice, eh? You may need to bypass your cache to see it.
Excellent. Now you say voting was taking place, but where? Conniving 13:12, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
Here. Where the link in my first post has been leading to since I first announced IoTM. ?|COMRADE_PONGO_V2|RUN_CMD|RUN_GSLYR 16:54, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

Continue discussions of Game:Planetfall from previous talk page here

If you're wondering what's going on, I archived the previous talk page. --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 02:13, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

I added some pages. I've made it kind of like Zork 1. ?|COMRADE_PONGO_V2|RUN_CMD|RUN_GSLYR 09:26, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
Well, i don't want people to start thinking it's just Zork in space. Save those pages for a Zork planet.--Naughty Budgie 09:41, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
The thing is, I have something planned... theZork-like southern room is just going to be a base for a bigger plot. ?|COMRADE_PONGO_V2|RUN_CMD|RUN_GSLYR 16:22, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
The actual plot is that the entire planet of Sol 3 is going to fall onto a planet of a very hostile species, who wish to invade it (Possibly, the Daleks?)--Naughty Budgie 01:18, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

Your attention please!

The picture on Game:Grueslayer/ch2/demon/ask/search/map/clue/enter/right/pistol/exit/BENSON needs to be replaced with something more Grueslayer-ish. You'll see what I mean when you compare this picture with any of Grueslayer's other pictures. --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 18:59, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

Also, I ask you this: On Game:Grueslayer/ch2/demon/ask/search/map/clue/enter/right/pistol/exit/BENSON/ask/office2, where did the Deputy come from? And, the boss fight needs to be humored up some. It isn't very funny to me. I'll go researching BENSON, then i'll add to the boss fight. --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 14:28, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
The deputy has been following the character. Marshal Uncyclopedian! Talk to me!
The pistol use in the third office part I think should be a red herring path. Marshal Uncyclopedian! Talk to me!
Well make it so the player knows she was following, instead of no warning and then a "Deputy strikes BENSON". --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 16:26, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
Did that already. Marshal Uncyclopedian! Talk to me!

I need your opinion again

Should we have a start menu just like Zork? Only with Grueslayer stuff? --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 19:11, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

Also, what do you think the final option on the front page, "Exit Grueslayer" be? --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 19:30, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

Alt-F4 --Lt. High Gen. Grue The Few The Proud, The Marines 22:22, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
What do you mean by that? --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 22:49, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
for the "Exit Grueslayer" thing. If you don't have an apple computer, press it, and the screen you are currenty on quits. --Lt. High Gen. Grue The Few The Proud, The Marines 22:51, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
I don't like it that good. How about Main Page? Or something else, if you can think of something? --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 23:19, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
Er, no. --Lt. High Gen. Grue The Few The Proud, The Marines 23:20, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

About the IoTM image

Since it looks really ugly when in award form(compared to other awards which have the same format), i'd like some changes made:

  1. Make the image just a teensy little smaller.
  2. Take the trophy and put it in a black oval that looks like a Boy Scout badge.
Make it look like this, only it's a black oval with the trophy superimposed on it.

Anybody who can do this CORRECTLY might get an award! --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 23:42, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

Grueslayer links

The links in easy mode are getting WAAAAAAAAY to long. Prune the next ones, please. --Lt. High Gen. Grue The Few The Proud, The Marines 18:21, 2 July 2007 (UTC)

hoifgeygjguir

If you want to vent out your feelings, randomness, badd speling, or just anything, this is the place. It's Grueslayer's "random page(s)" where we and others can vent their feelings or any of the above. Just make sure it's not TOO MUCH SPAM, make a thin story if you can, except with huih piughiu g8ptg76T8Y gto78Y 9P[8t PIYGyg OYF yOIHIOUH h in it. --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 19:37, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

It's Grueslayer Abridged!

Yes it is. ?|COMRADE_PONGO_V2|RUN_CMD|RUN_GSLYR 18:36, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

Nice move. --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 23:08, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

Uncyclopedia viral campaign?

I just thought about Halo, and it's intriguing weird complicated viral campaign for Halo 3, so I thought "Why not have a viral marketing campaign for Grueslayer?" Of course while Grueslayer is nearly finished, we'll put out something like the above link. It might not work, but hey, we don't know until we try!

You might have to read the above link and find out more about Halo, though. I am obviously a BIG Halo fan, enough to warrant wanting the Halo books and participating in the Halo 3 viral campaign. --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 23:21, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

What the hell?!!?!?

I don't know if this is part of a Grueslayer viral campaign or not, but I urge you to check it out, and figure out just what it is. If you DO know, please report here. --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 14:44, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

Er, this is an emergency? I'm going home. --Lt. High Gen. Grue The Few The Proud, The Marines 16:41, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
Whose site IS this? This is actually a shocker! (I'm not being sarcastic either) Conniving 23:32, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
...??? Even with the infinite knowledge of my homeworld on my side, i can't figure out what's with this pointless site.--Naughty Budgie 02:18, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

Weird. It has green text, just like OUR Grueslayer. I wonder what will happen when he finds out about the Uncyclopedia Grueslayer.......... --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 15:08, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

Well, it's been FIVE YEARS. Maybe he's forgotten about it. Right now i'm just waiting for citation-seer to jump out and say "This was all my idea!"--202.173.158.116 05:57, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

Someone mind adding a Grueslayer Templates section to Game_talk:Grueslayer/info? You can find it by pressing the yellow square button above. I'm lazy, and I already have a lot of things on my mind & to do. --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 16:16, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

It wasn't even an implementor. Just slash it out, saying it is used. --Lt. High Gen. Grue The Few The Proud, The Marines 17:54, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
Meh, it's been checked. It won't be deleted. —Comrade Pongo (V2) GS Implementor (Talk | Contribs | Award) 07:05, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

I'm concerned. And very.

I dislike the fact that Grueslayer's story mode is deviating too much from actual Grue fighting. Now, with Intermediate mode's zombie mode, the target becomes humans. Something needs to be done. Conniving 01:50, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

I'll fix that. Also, Game:Grueslayer/mainquest/walrustheanger needs fixing. --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 16:31, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
Fixed. Conniving 17:36, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

I HAVE AN IDEA!

In Hard Mode, after the player gets off the mountain thus starting chapter two, the player hitch-hikes to nearby Stevenson, Washington (Pop. 1,200). If the player gets off early at Carson, Washington, the player then is either eaten by the grues, or slays all the grues in town, and walks down the road to Stevenson. (these are actual towns near Mt. St. Helens, look it up if you're skeptical) After a little while, Mt. St. Helens erupts without warning! Everything is chaos, lava boulders flying everywhere, and the town is nearly swamped! But the Grueslayer miraculously escapes in a pickup truck unharmed.

After I get Stuntman: Ignition for my Xbox 360, i'll recreate that scene for novelty reasons. Plus, i'll even create a police chase scene with Officer Ronalds chasing the Grueslayer and the deputy through Grueland's farming suburb, Farmington(not included in Grueslayer).

And yes, I will put both of these to music. --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 17:06, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

No more "realistic" settings, i'm quite tired of them. Let's make one up, one that SOUNDS fictional. Conniving 17:34, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
Okay, wise guy, what do YOU have in mind? And i'm still making those vehicle scenes. --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 17:49, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

I'd suggest a mine shaft. Horribly lit, loaded with treasure, evil monsters, and areas with noxious gases. It fits hard mode because lots of things can live there and sneak up on you. Conniving 18:41, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

Mine Shaft.... as in ZORK? We're trying to NOT COPY THE UNCY ZORK, let alone the real one. Oh, and yes, I beat it. --Lt. High Gen. Grue The Few The Proud, The Marines 15:50, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
Just because it is a mine shaft doesn't mean it is Zork. It's lit with diamonds stuck in the walls, plus obsolete electric lighting. There's rockslides, and chasms. Plus, there's a rapid underground stream. The player is supposed to turn left and right to avoid rocks. Conniving 23:38, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

ATTENTION! You will see below a preview of the level in the game I am going to be using to create one of the novelty scenes mentioned above. --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 18:15, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

That scene kicks ass. O.O However, I think it's suited for Grueland. Or for exploring (maybe even escaping) the Land of Flamewars Conniving 18:43, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
Cars in the Land of Flamewars? o.0 Probably! I was going to use that for hard mode for Mt. St. Helens, though, where the player escapes an unexpected eruption. I was also thinking about a possible plot for Intermediate Mode, after you get finished with Mayor Richards, you get info on this grue-related person and travel to this psuedo-Los Angeles-like city, tracking him down until this chase scene that I can do happens. Don't worry, the bad guy dies :)

And here's another video of the level in the game i'm going to be using, this time it's in Easy Mode, where the Grueslayer and the deputy are chased by Officer Ronalds and his squadron through Grueland's more slummy blue-collar suburb, Farmington. And remember, these videos are non-canon to Grueslayer.

Have I mentioned that this game is also really hard? It's right up there with Super Mario Brothers on the NES. But I WILL PERSERVERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 11:26, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

Whar. the. Hell. The first one was ACTUALLY mountain roads, on fire, lava ridden, burning rocks everywhere, broken pavement, exploding cars as in... volcano. --Lt. High Gen. Grue The Few The Proud, The Marines 15:46, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
So? --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 16:00, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
As in PERFECT VIDEO FOR HARD MODE. so I thought up Easy mode, YOU thought up Hard mode... Conniving has PVP... who's gonna make up intermediate mode? --Lt. High Gen. Grue The Few The Proud, The Marines 16:03, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

In Intermediate mode, you meet Mayor Richards, turns out he's an illicit crime lord affiliated with some grue underground stuff. Naturally, as Grueslayer, you decide to bust it up. Their headquarters is in the big coastal city of Grueopolis(if you can think up a better name, tell me). The non-canon video? Basically it's Grueslayer chasing Richards through the city. --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 16:12, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

Also, if someone here had an Xbox 360/PS3/PS2(the systems that the game is being released for), and Stuntman: Ignition, you can help! And for PVP, I was thinking Halo 3 machinima.

Stuntman: Ignition comes out on August 28, Halo 3 comes out September 25. So we'll have to wait. Until then we can plan and plan. --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 16:21, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

I have an Xbox 360, but i'm not buying a $50 game for info for a text adventure. I really think we should save more futuristic stuff for later chapters of differing difficulty modes. But if you must go through with all this, how about Dead Rising? :) I have that. Conniving 23:40, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
we have Frank West in Intermediate mode. Let's go the whole nine yards, shall we? --Lt. High Gen. Grue The Few The Proud, The Marines 00:12, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
But this is Grueslayer, focus on Grues, not humans. Turn the Grues into zombies. Conniving 00:47, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
Zombie grues and human zombies, but mostly Grue Zombies? Oh, and I want to buy a XBOX 360 just to play Stuntman:Ignition --Lt. High Gen. Grue The Few The Proud, The Marines 00:54, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
No human zombies. I detest the idea. Conniving 01:21, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
Too bad, so sad. --Lt. High Gen. Grue The Few The Proud, The Marines 01:24, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
Well will it come to zombie Grues eating zombie humans? That doesn't sound epic. Conniving 01:26, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

INTERMISSION

Watch all the way, it's funny. You might want to either play it in YouTube, or wait for it to load.

Now back to discussing Stuntman: Ignition-made Grueslayer movies. --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 11:33, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

What was that? --Lt. High Gen. Grue The Few The Proud, The Marines 15:55, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
Google "YouTube Poop". --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 16:04, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
Also, this might be helpful. --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 16:27, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

Robotnik... in a bikini. O_o Gross, man. Anyway, it's not like we're going to put these videos into it. Pictures or not, this is still Grueslayer, a text adventure. Perhaps some animated GIFs? My sister can help with that if you supply us with images. Conniving 23:33, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

And I mean Grueslayer-style pixilated images. If they're not good enough, i'm not going to use them for the GIF. Conniving 23:41, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
An animated GIF of the volcano erupting in hard mode?
Also, these videos are NON-CANON TO GRUESLAYER! THIS IS JUST FOR THE NOVELTY VALUE! You don't have to help at all! Only if you want! I can do these videos all by myself! This won't be added to the game! --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 11:14, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

If you can supply me with images, perhaps we can get you the GIF. Conniving 12:18, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

I'll get started. If someone else could help me or do it themselves though, that would be a BIG help. --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 20:51, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
The images are done, i've sent them to Conniving (via e-mail), it's basically going to be an animated GIF of a Grueslayer-style volcano erupting in hard mode. It's supposed to be Mt. St. Helens. Now we wait........ --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 15:47, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

Ahem

The picture on Game:Grueslayer/volcano needs to look like an actual volcano, please. --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 11:18, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
