At Uncyclopedia, writing articles is not a requirement, but it certainly is a fun and easy way to express your creativity. To write an article, it's recommended that you start it in your userspace (for example, User:The-elementalist/Article about stuff) so you can edit it at your leisure. If you decide to create it in the cold world of mainspace, make sure it is in accordance with the policies laid out above, and if you're not done put the "Work-In-Progress" template - {{construction}} - onto it as well.
If you need help, ask me on my talk page, ask at the Dump, or ask an administrator on their talk page. Additionally, the Uncyclopedian Adopt-a-Noob program is there to bring experienced editors straight to you. Simply put {{adoptme}} on your Userpage to join. I've just come into contact with one of those hillarious NRV stamps on a random page. After reading some information, i almost felt guilty at an attempt to save that page. I did some editing and am planning some more, but my main question is, am i allowed to do that? can i save these so called rubbish pages from the dead?--The-elementalist 07:38, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
- Yes you can, and it is encouraged! NRV tags, despite the name, are usually put on articles which have potential, but in their current state aren't good enough to stay. You're perfectly welcome to fix one up, and if you fix it up to a level that you think it stands as a full article, you're welcome to take it off. NRV'd articles are only considered for deletion one week after the last edit was made to them, so there's no actual time limit for you to work on it, as long as you are still editing it. If it is checked by an admin, if it's good enough the tag will be taken off, but if it's not, it'll be deleted. In that case you can always ask for it to be moved to a user subpage where you can work on it for as long as you want, then move it back in to the main space when it's finished. Happy editing! • Spang • ☃ • talk • 08:58, 6 Dec 2006

Anzac Day[edit source]
Hya,
I've looked at it and I think you can sleep peacefully at night. It's not going to last. As soon as the NRV expires, it's out. In case it doesn't you can nominate it at VFD and the community will sure to kick it on its face. ~ 16:18, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
