Pee Review?
I'm not an expert on In the Groove or other dance games, but I think this article is worth Pee Reviewing. Any help is greatly appreciated. Pentium5dot1 19:37, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
Please have mercy
I hope you read my comment on the Pee Review about how tough Caltech is. If you don't believe me, ask these guys.
That's why I haven't done an ideal quantity of work on the article. I would like to propose removing the {{NRV}} (and possibly replacing it with {{rewrite}}) now that I've fixed the {{deadend}} problem, leaving only a little bit more work to bring the article up to {{stub}}/{{crap}} level.
An attempt...
...to bring this potentially sexy article back from the edge of deletion doom. Yeah i just made an account this morning but either way this article needs to be more conspiracy-against-konami-homgzorz oriented and not so wow-lol-i-suck oriented (no offence bro). This is like my first real major editing here so I'm open to criticism but either way I'ma give it a shot.Gustavo Chapman 3rd of Normandy 23:45, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
From Pee Review
Dance game expert? You rang? Yeh I can help...I've already revised parts of this article to make it a bit more conpiracy oriented (since there's actually a real conspiracy theory floating around the dance game world that I'm trying to incorporate to keep it up to date) and I really want to see this article saved from ultimate doom. This article is just too sexy to be ultimately doomed. Gustavo Chapman 3rd of Normandy 23:49, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
I might be able to help a little w/ the writing style & and the addition of conspiracy theories, but I need a general dance-game expert to help fill in the details. Note that I will have a lot of homework, so don't expect me to work very intensely here. Signed, Pentium5dot1 19:41, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
- I didn't really read your changes in that much detail, but let me outline the conspiracy that's in my head: It's about Roxor trying to compete head-on with Konami's shadow government for mysterious reasons in an attempt to "show the world who's boss" and losing. I'm really not creative enough... What is the real ITG conspiracy theory? (Is it something different from the famous lawsuit?) BTW, the {{NRV}} tag has been up there for definitely more than a week, and the original problem listed (as a parameter to the NRV template) was {{Deadend}}, which I fixed, so the admins are probably being a little lazy about the NRV. One last thing: Let me repeat - Caltech is a tough school... --Pentium5dot1 04:52, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, I was trying to incorporate the real life lawsuit. But the conspiracy is that now ITG layers are paranoid that Konami is going to use their new ownership of the franchise to end ITG alltogether. I tried to adjust the tone of the article to one of a Konami elitist, since I personally think that it's funny how some people hate ITG simply because it's not DDR. (I have friends who are like that.) Not to be self-righteous or anything, but I think I've fixed it up to a point where you can take down the NRV (though i thought the article looked good before i started editing it, shows how much i know) Gustavo Chapman 3rd of Normandy 02:57, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- I understand the point, and after reading your edits I would like to give you another big thank you. I'm not sure what you mean by "Konami elitist," but everything looks fine. Removing {{NRV}} in 5... 4... 3... 2... Pentium5dot1 06:58, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

- The article needs careful expansion, as you know. I am about as far from a dance-game expert as you are likely to find. The last time I danced was at the end of the Little Ice Age and no one had any shoes, let alone dance machines. But this article must be improved or it will probably be deleted before the month is out. It is good to tackle articles with the intent of bringing them to at least a minimum level of artistic viability...in other words, make a worthwile article. To the best of your abilities. As best you can. Almost everyone here who has a creative bug is already working on their own articles, you see, so relying on others probably won't get this article done. I'm not trying to discourage you from submitting, just offering straight advice which you are free to ignore. That advice being: Do good work. Write well and carefully. Keep your teeth clean. Don't pet stray cats or you'll get ringworm. Etc. ----OEJ 01:08, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
- Will get to work on style and conspiracies immediately, but I don't have perfect confidence in my satirical skills. The best I can do on my own is probably to rescue the article from NRV by just a sufficient amount to put it in the territory between {{stub}} and {{crap}}. Please help at your convenience, but be respectful of my limitations (Caltech is a tough school...); I didn't mean to say that I won't try my best, only that there are time constraints. About the notable players
For reasons of gender equality, might we be able to say something about hurtpiggypig [1][2]? She's the only serious female ITG player I could find on a cursory search of the two major online video sites. I would handle this myself, but I don't quite know enough about the ITG scene to make my prose fit in with the prevailing conspiracy theory. Pentium5dot1 19:48, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
- Okay, I've made an attempt to work mention of hurtpiggypig into said section, but I desperately need help with NPOV and SPOV. Pentium5dot1 04:31, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, I know there are female players more well-known than hurtpiggypig now, but she still has a reasonably good placement on the first page of a Google Video search. That's just one video, though (I'm not sure where the other went), so I am seriously thinking about throwing out the whole hurtpiggypig section and seeing if anyone else has a better idea about female ITG players. Pentium5dot1 21:35, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
- I should have mentioned admstyles instead - he's far more notable for his perfect 100's/six-digit combo than any female player is for being female. Pentium5dot1 02:27, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
A little note about mDaWg
- The "free ITGPC" thing I mentioned is NOT piracy - or at least no one on the StepMania forums says that it's piracy - so please don't punish me.
- I saw something on YouTube about mDaWg getting ITG2 arcade to run on an ordinary PC, but I was too lazy to put it in the article. Please feel free to comment. (My point is that we need to mention more about mDaWg's accomplishments in general, but I don't have enough knowledge of the subject.)

From Pee Review.. number 3 ?
Note: I did not create this article myself. Also, I previously requested a Pee Review in order to save the article from ICU; this is the second review.
Issues that need fixing:
- The section on hurtpiggypig needs major fixing to make it better fit in with the rest of the conspiracy theory. What I came up with was utter crapzilla. My intention was to write that the cabal (such as it is) is trying to suppress any evidence that girls can play DDR/ITG and thus prevent the conspiracy from being challenged by the true stronger sex (by that, I mean females...um, disclaimer: This is a Satirical point of view; the only part that matches my real point of view is that females are the stronger sex. Go figure.)
- The section on mDaWg needs a clearer (funnier?) discussion of mDaWg's accomplishments.
Forgot to sign my original comment above... I fixed the ratings to be slightly more representative. (Per the comment at Uncyclopedia:Pee Review/DDR, though, I might have to erase the ratings completely in order to put this on the front Pee Review page where people will see it.) There is a possibility that I will close this within 48 hours in order to put the comments on the article's talk page. Oh, and one last thing, partially relating to the UN:PIC request mentioned below: I am hoping for an image that shows what an ITG mine does while incorporating some mystical and/or conspiracy aspect. Pentium5dot1 05:41, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
Humour: | 5 | The humor is rather bland and doesn't really extend beyond the usual Konami-related conspiracy. I know there's potential here... |
Concept: | 6 | ITG inherently creates less humor than DDR due to its different target audience, but again, I know there's potential here. |
Prose and formatting: | 9 | I don't really see any problems, except for my own crappy addition at hurtpiggypig. |
Images: | 1 | I really should give this a 0, but I'm too nice to do so; I placed a request at UN:PIC a while back, but RadicalX didn't have any ideas. |
Miscellaneous: | 10 | N/A. I don't want to unfairly penalize the article. |
Final Score: | 31 | A halfway-decent effort for something saved from NRV by a previous PEE. |
