User:Lollipop/Sig help
Hi, i'm Lollipop, and I am here to kill you to help you with your signature.
What is a signature[edit | edit source]
A signature identifies you. Of course, you don't have to have one. But it's kinda boring having a blue link that says "<insert name here>".
Some signatures are simple. Here is an example of Rcmurphy's signature, which is simple:
Some signatures have images as links. Here is an example of Iwillkillyou333's signature, which has animated images (GIF's) that link to his userpages:
My signature has images and coloured text. Here is my signature, which also has a timestamp:

Of course, your sig can be whatever you want it to be. It's your sig, by the way. Below are the steps you need to create your very own signature.
All about signatures[edit | edit source]
Why do you need a sig?[edit | edit source]
Three and a half million years ago, the first animal crawled out of the primordial seas and wrote "I WUZ HERE" just to prove he did it. Unfortunately, we don't know who it was, since they forgot to sign their message. So if you want to get the blame credit for your comments, sign your posts by using the following:
~~~~
History of Signatures[edit | edit source]
Originally on Uncyclopedia, back in the beinning (early 2005), nobody had a custom signature. It was basic unbolded link to userpage. Weird, huh? Anyways, users like Nytrospawn, PantsMacKenzie and our founders Chronarion and Stillwaters never had a custom signature. Eventually, users began brining their custom signatures around. The custom signatures of 2005 were all text based and contained no colours or images. Eventually, sometime in 2006, users began using font tags (which are now forbidden) and transparent images to identify themselves.
It's been that way ever since.
Why have a custom signature?[edit | edit source]
You don't have to have one, it's your choice.
Images[edit | edit source]
You may use images for your signature. However, they must be 15 pixels (15 px) or less. If they are larger, they can take up a lot of space. If you put an image in your sig larger than 15 px, we will worship you either make the image smaller or remove it.
