Talk:My keyboard is missing its homerow
Unobfuscated?[edit source]
Plausible humor is funnier. Is the unobfuscated version of this page available? I could imagine that someone in this predicament would figure out workarounds for at least some letters part way into the article: @ for A, 5 for S, I) for D, & for G, # for H, I< for K, I for lowercase L. --Tepples 03:24, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
- See User:Pentium5dot1/Storage facility/My keyboard is missing its homerow (unobfuscated). I haven't actually done any work yet, though - by "unobfuscate," do you mean "write proper English" or "put in those leet characters"? Pentium5dot1 18:04, 15 April 2007 (UTC)
- By "unobfuscate", I want proper English. Have you ever read the short story "Flowers for Algernon" or the "Latino sine Flexione" exposition? My outline looks like this:
- First sentence is normal.
- Second sentence bein to ow ropout.
- Typist realizes what is going on.
- Typist tries desperately to choose words containing few home row letters.
- Typist remembers Start > Programs > Accessories > Character Map, uses it for a couple sentences, finds it too time consuming.
- In a eureka moment, typist discovers leet.
- More substitutions are introduced over the course of the remainder of the article.
- Segue into the leet article.
- Good idea or bad idea? --Tepples 02:29, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
- Good idea, and in response to your question about reading material, I have read Flowers for Algernon but not Latino sine Flexione. Keep in mind, however, that I really don't have much time here (as I tried to explain on my user page, most of my time spent editing Uncyc is time I should be using to do homework). If you think of any possible edits in the meantime, please direct them to my storage page. Thanks. Pentium5dot1 09:16, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry for unannounced UncycloBreak. Any more comments? Pentium5dot1 05:38, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

If my computer was working and I didn't have to use my mother's, I would record an audio for this. It would be an interesting experience. -- 02:38, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
