The Rocky Horror Picture Show (often abbreviated to Rocky Horror) is a 1975 cultist science fiction pornographic horror musical comedy based on the 1973 musical stage production The Rocky Horror Show and Richard O'Brien's average Saturday night. Unlike most films, which may be enjoyed at a local movie theater alongside a bag of salted popcorn and an overpriced beverage, Rocky Horror is largely considered unwatchable unless the audience is able to shout obscenities at the screen and chuck pieces of toast and toilet paper into the air. Viewers of Rocky Horror also engage in clever commentary by yelling out phrases like "Sex sex sex!" and "How do you masturbate?" at appropriate times, which many interpret to mean every other line.
