I recently discovered this, which confirms that there was, at some point, an interface admin user group. I came here to ask, after reading through this discussion, should we re-enable this user group, and if so, how will we do it? JJP...MASTER!_{[talk to] JJP... master?} 15:57, 10 March 2021 (UTC)

What exactly would that entail? Assuming it's similar to Wikipedia's interface admins, I guess it could be useful here. MrX blow me 04:29, 21 March 2021 (UTC)

The interface admin right would, like on WP, grant users the ability to edit site CSS, JS, and JSON, as well as being able to edit other user's personal JS and CSS files. JJP...MASTER!_{[talk to] JJP... master?} 18:20, 21 March 2021 (UTC)

Ok, I Support adding/enabling this user group. In the future, it might be best to let admins hand it out on an as-needed basis, like autopatrolled, rollback, etc. But for now, especially since we have a VFS right around the corner, it's probably best to have this be something we all vote on, like admins and crats. Also preferably grant the ability to edit fully-protected pages so that they can, say, edit MediaWiki:Common.js, which is both interface-protected and manually fully-protected. JJP...MASTER!_{[talk to] JJP... master?} 21:28, 21 March 2021 (UTC)

Support I feel that interface administrators would be useful when there is a shortage of admins. However, it's probably going to be empty. 3.  For. I think this will be useful, especially if an admin fails VFS. However, I think it should only be handed out by bureaucrats, not normal admins, just like on Wikipedia.
