So what was the total carnage, somewhere over a thousand articles? I wish I'd gotten into it earlier in the week, 'cos then it would have been two thousand. Really.

That said, I was finding it harder to find crap. Hit random fifty times, see what dies - there's quite a lot of stuff that is actually not horrible. Of course, then I resorted to going through newpages, and even at a few days gone there's lotsa shite in need of explosion.

I've had one protest over two articles and have restored them to the user's userspace. I expect more over the next coupla days.

How'd everyone else find it? - David Gerard 09:30, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

Carnage score can be found here underneath the flaming spam. But here's a copy/paste for the lazy and for future generations to admire:
    • Beginning article count: 18,591
    • Current count: 17,178
    • Casualties so far: 1413
I haven't got one restore request so far... So it's looking good for MoneySign's sense of judgement! ^_^ --~ sin($) tan() 09:42, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
I got like 3 requests, most of them were articles that had been NRV'd and I just deleted them because I'm an ass. However, all were restored, and I got to add three users to the "List of Users that hate Tompkins" page. I'm annoyed that I didn't have more time during the week to delete stuff. I huffed something around 120 pages and didn't get any restore requests. That must be rectified. —rc (t) 19:08, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

Hey, aren't you the one that declared FFW open to begin with?? You should have planned ahead, RC... --~ sin($) tan() 19:19, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
120?! HA! I had nearly 500, 400 of them during that first day. Plus I cleaned out category rewrite, which sucked. HOMESTAR ME!!! TURTLE ME!!! t o m p k i n s  blah. ﺞوﻦ וףה ՃՄ ண்ஸ ފއހ วอฏม +տ trade websites 19:20, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
Damn. I wish I had more time to find articles, I could only get one deleted! Crazyswordsman 22:03, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

From a quick glance at the Huff Log, it looks like there were actually over 2500 articles deleted over the July 8-15 FFW span, meaning we deleted over 135 new articles a day. That number is probably not terribly far off from our usual deletion rate, since our article count has been growing relatively slowly. With the extra deletions, our rate for FFW was well over 300 per day.

And by the way, our total deletion count since 5 January 2005 is over 70,000, meaning that fewer than one in five articles have survived overall. —rc (t) 22:29, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

That's not very reliable, as there are alot of articles that have been deleted more than once. HOMESTAR ME!!! TURTLE ME!!! t o m p k i n s  blah. ﺞوﻦ וףה ՃՄ ண்ஸ ފއހ วอฏม +տ trade websites 00:00, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
The Huff Log records each deletion. I did forget, though, that it also includes restores, so that would change the stats a bit. I guess. —rc (t) 02:48, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
Or did you mean that deleting recreated, identical articles would skew the numbers? I could ask you in IRC right now but I don't feel it's worth it. —rc (t) 02:50, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

I tried to have a bunch of iArticles deleted. Only a couple were. I blame Steve Jobs. --Uncyclon - Do we still link to BENSON? 07:45, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

My trigger finger is still sore, but 'twas well worth it. Looking forward with unrestrained glee to our next conflagration. --DW III CUN.pngOUN.png 10:08, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
