NOTE: THIS IS AN ACTUAL POST I SAW ON AN ACTUAL FORUM FROM AN ACTUAL PRO-LIFE PERSON. LET'S ACTUALLY HAVE A CIVILIZED DISCUSSION AND NOT BASH EACH OTHER, THANK YOU, AND NOW TIME TO LOL AT THIS PERSON WHO WILL REMAIN NAMELESS.

"ABORTION SHOULD BE ILLEGAL: 1. it harms the health of the mother. even when done legally, abortions often result in nasty infections of every kind that sometimes necessarily end in hysterectomies (removal of reproductive organs) 2. abortions can lead to cancers of the uterus, cervix and ovaries later in life 3. later infertility, if she so wishes to later have a child 4. a "safe, clean environment" isnt always provided. since abortion clinics are, well, clinics, they arent as sterile as a hospital operating room would be, further exposing the mother to germs and diseases 5.it kills an innocent baby! i've read reports of babies being "removed" while still alive(they werent supposed to be) and being thrown in a dumpster while they were kicking and fighting for life. i've also seen ultrasound pictures of babies trying to guard their face just before they were crushed to death.

abortion isnt a pretty procedure. it really isnt "clean and safe". and these aren't just "isolated incidents" if i disregard all the christian beliefs about babies having a soul etc., abortion should still be outlawed for the reasons i stated above.

Good god. I've never seen such a trainwreck of logic in one place. Considering that women are several times more likely to die during childbirth than during an abortion, there is no evidence of abortion causing any sort of cancer, abortion does not cause or increase risk of infertility, abortion clinic operating rooms follow operation standards, and the vast, vast majority of abortions occur when the embryo is barely the size of the point of a pencil, there's no accurate information in there. Now how does that have anything to do with abortion? "(they werent suposed to be)" implies that it was an accident or something, not a scheduled abortion. Sounds like he just threw that in there as a guilt trip. --YeOldeLuke 01:10, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
