Ok. Like many of you people, I often look at UN:HS to destroy my self-esteem and also to read great articles from the masters. So I'm proposing that we go an extra step beyond simply 3 articles. I'm saying that writers who have gotten 20 features or more be inducted into a "Hall of Legends." Currently, Cajek, Mhaille, Modusoperandi, Ljlego, TheLedBalloon, Cap'n Ben, Savethemooses, The Thinker, Hyperbole, Hardwick Fundlebuggy, and Procopius. All of these writers have proved themselves completely awesome and I feel that they should be recognized further for it. The Hall of Legends needn't be separated from the Hall of Shame page. I was thinking of a new section to separate these Legends from the chaff.

Also, if we're going to do a Hall of Legends for writers, we might as well do one for imagers. But at 20 featured pics, only RadicalX qualifies. So the number would be lowered to 10, thus qualifying RadX, Mhaille, Zombiebaron, and Modusoperandi. Let me know how guys feel about this idea. Personally, I think it's great, but my opinion alone isn't worth a bucket of warm piss. :(

But really, is it feasible? Can we do it? Can we have a "Hall of Legends?" Necropaxx (T) {~} 15:48, Jun 5

I've never heard of any of those people. -OptyC Sucks! Icons-flag-us.png CUN15:53, 5 Jun

I like the idea, though it seems sort of unecessary. You can plainly see who the "Legends" are by looking at the top of the chart; giving "Legends" a seperate chart wouldn't elevate their status any further, it would just create another chart. Maybe an "Uncyclopedia Legend" template would be better, and more flexible, because it would allow other notable users who don't have 20+ features or 10+ images to be recognized too (like RAHB, Prettiestpretty, GerryCheevers, etc.). People who have said template could be placed in their own category, so yeah. —Unführer Guildy Ritter von Guildensternenstein 15:58, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

Heya,

As the founder of the Hall of Shame (it used to live as a subpage under in my userspace many moons ago), I agree with the idea in theory, but I'm not sure about the name. The "Shame" bit is a deliberate barb at anyone who (a.) has a life so devoid of meaning that s/he has time and effort to devote here or (b.) is misguided enough to misdirect actual talent to this useless waste of server space.  :)

So, something to distinguish this bunch as the Idiots of idiots, with 20 or better... I could go for that. --T. (talk) 16:05, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

Hall of Failures? Necropaxx (T) {~} 16:42, Jun 5
The Todd Lyons Memorial Arenadome? Also, against. I'm quite awesome enough as it is, thank you very much. With this idea thingy on this page here, I and others like me (specifically Mhaille, who also appears on your "most bestest" list for both writing and 'chopping, but also including those that only appear on one list, whose names escape me at the moment), would potentially be too awesome, forming a black hole of awesome so awesome that not even awesome can escape. Awesome. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 17:03, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
Hey, you can't have too much awesome. Ever. Necropaxx (T) {~} 00:44, Jun 6
Yeah, Symbol declined.svg Against.. We don't need that kind of publicity.   Le Cejak <19:39 Jun 05, 2009>
We got enough ego maniacs as it is (even though it usually comes from people out of this list), I think we can live without this list. ~Jewriken.GIF 20:03, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

If there was a WONDERFUL logo...

...the status of the Legends would be far beyond anyone else. The logo could be something colossally imperious. Thwartingly brilliant. Monstrously vague. -- Style Oranssiviiva.jpg Guide 19:28, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

How about making the logo out of dark awesome? I know it's not equal to an actual black hole of awesome, but with some polishing, people would still get the idea. What I'm driving at, Modus: everything overdone is at least good enough and more. Until you cannot push the piano any further. -- Style Oranssiviiva.jpg Guide 19:34, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

It's not the same as brainburn, is it? I had brainburn once and I didn't feel a thing. Also, I didn't see a thing, and so forth. It was during my sojourn to the booze factory when I was 16. -- Style Oranssiviiva.jpg Guide 13:24, 6 June 2009 (UTC)

this idea

I support it. What can I say? I like having my ego stroked, almost as much as I like having the other parts of me stroked. - T.L.B. Baloon.gif WotM, UotM, FPrize, AotM, ANotM, PLS, UN:HS, GUN 21:30, Jun 5

I support it too. Stroking, that is. Necropaxx (T) {~} 23:04, Jun 5

Another reason

Hall of legends.png

Another reason that I think "Hall of Legends" or "Hall of Failures" or whatever is good is that it may encourage users who've gotten the three features to push themselves a little (Ok, a lot) more. I know that I would be trying to write more often. But that's just me. Maybe it won't do the same for others. Let me know, though. Necropaxx (T) {~} 00:43, Jun 6

You don't need it. Instead, simply look at all the people ahead of you, waiting to be crushed under the knobby wheels of your comedy. You do want to crush them, don't you? Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 01:08, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
I certainly don't want to crush anybody. It usually just happens when the buffet table is opened. -OptyC Sucks! Icons-flag-us.png CUN01:16, 6 Jun
I love Mhaille's "Hall of Leg ends" logo.  :) --T. (talk) 14:02, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
Necro, what it would create is further whoring which I'm getting very tired of. The great write of this place, never seemed to whore or to create awards for themselves. They just write for the sake of writing. If we vote for this - there is a big fat against new awards, against further ranks, against new medals and against whoring. ~Jewriken.GIF 14:42, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
If we are honest whoring has always gone on, at best its an innocent promoting of work individuals are proud of, at worst its people trying to game the system to appease their egos. I'm not against whoring of work, if done with the humour the rest of the site works with its no bad thing, and I don't want to start another "it was better in my time" debate, but I have seen a change in the quality of some of the work featured, or indeed just created, over the last number of months. I doubt many people are sad enough to NEED to be seen within a list of any kind, although I'll admit it is nice to have your work recognised it isn't the main reason for working on Uncyclopedia. Most of my best edits I feel have been in other people's work.
I was always hopeful that the Featured list, as well as the work listed within the Hall of Shame would inspire people to be better writers, which I personally believe that the work of my peers has done for me. Anybody can write good humour, and it comes in all shapes and sizes (fnar fnar) which I believe is reflected within these pages. And so because of that I'm going to sit on the fence on the idea of the Hall of Legends. As with most things there are pros and cons, but whatever we decide lets make sure its for the right reason. -- Sir Mhaille Icons-flag-gb.png (talk to me)
OMG no wai its Mhaille! But really, 'Dillo, I agree with Mhaille, partly because I think he's right, and partly because he thinks I'm right. :) Necropaxx (T) {~} 02:21, Jun 9
Oh, fiddlesticks. I didn't actually read his whole comment. /facepalm Necropaxx (T) {~} 02:22, Jun 9

What we could do

is have a seperate hall just for of the month/of the year articles. Believe it or not, you would see a bunch of names you've probably never heard of like Jamtrousers and Dawg... this list would be more like the gold standard of articles for uncyc, and I would be in favor of that...   Le Cejak <15:52 Jun 07, 2009>

I keep whoring this, but check out User:Cajek/HS   Le Cejak <16:51 Jun 07, 2009>

Catch 22 ?

I seem to have a memory that if you flew 20 missions in Catch 22 - you got to go home. Except the target kept being raised and to get out of it , you had to feign madness. Hall of Shame ? How about 'The Green House of Leg Ends' or perhaps the 'Glass House of Leg Ends ' because everyone has a fragile ego liable to be broken by the stones of outraged contributors ??.
