At Uncyclopedia, writing articles is not a requirement, but it certainly is a fun and easy way to express your creativity. To write an article, it's recommended that you start it in your userspace (for example, User:Repairmanman/Article about stuff) so you can edit it at your leisure. If you decide to create it in the cold world of mainspace, make sure it is in accordance with the policies laid out above, and if you're not done put the "Work-In-Progress" template - {{construction}} - onto it as well.

If the current colonization doesn't suit your fancy, then browse our rewrite and idea categories. We have lots of articles just sitting around for someone to improve, so don't be afraid - dive right in!

Insane Clown Posse with properly capitlaised title...

...is here. If you accidentally create an article with an incorrect title, rather than simply removing the content add it to QVFD where - eventually - an admin will come along and delete it for you. Do a good job of the article, by the way, as there have been hundreds of unspeakably dire ones in the past so it'd be nice to have a decent one to prevent new, crap ones appearing. :-) Rabbi Techno kvetch Contribs FOXES 17:19, January 25, 2011 (UTC)

Heyyyyyy

I saw you on the Noob of the thingy doodad, and voted for you. I wanted to give you some feedback about your Insane Clown Posse article.

Most of it is really good, fine structure, grammar, etc., but I did want to point out that the line "Shaggy's primary purpose is to fellate J upon request," detracts from the main gag quite a bit. Really good articles don't make little side jokes about a gay guy in the middle of them. Anything that is just kinda tossed in there randomly that doesn't help build up the main joke of the article is just extraneous and distracting.

While you, of course, don't have to do anything, and I won't force it by editing it myself, I just want you to know that stuff like that tends to get frowns from most readers on here. You won't get banned for it, but you also won't get a featured article. Honestly, I think you could write a featured article, and might even be able to get ICP featured if you work on it a bit more.

Xiaolin

Quick question about Xiaolin Candysticks; who are all the people you talk about in the plot description? One of the pages that seem to go along with it, Butch Brigid, is on QuickVFD for vanity, and Xiaolin Candysticks has a lot of the same "characters". It reads a lot like vanity, so if it isn't, you aught to try to make that more apparent in some way. QVFD

In the future, instead of adding the {{QVFD}} template to articles, since said template is deprecated and stuff, could you be a dear and just add a link to them on the QVFD page? It says the proper how on it somewhere, dunno how well it does, but... eh. It does say how. I think. Actually, I almost never look at that page, myself, because there's also a handy script under the 'gadgets' section in the preferences for adding stuff automatically just by clicking on a tab; that's what I use. Never have to look at the actual page, that way...
