The Balloon welcomes you!
Hello, Prop 8 protesters are EVIL!, and welcome to Uncyclopedia! Thanks for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If not, the door's right over there... no, a little more to your left...Not that far, goddammit! ...Yeah. Anyway, here are a few good links for nooblets:
If you read anything at all, make it the above two links, particularly the second one. If you want to find out more about Uncyclopedia, or need more help with something, try these:
If you feel like asking someone for help, feel free to ask me on my talk page, in the help forums, or on the Uncyclopedia IRC channel. With the forums and the IRC, keep in mind that the first response of the community is almost always general silliness. We are after all, a silly wiki, run by numerous silly, silly people. When you edit discussion pages, though, make sure you sign your name, using four tildes (~~~~) or the "sign" button (Button sig.png), above the edit box. This'll automatically produce your name and the date, and lets everyone know who the hell you are. Signing will also help you avoid the {{tilde}} template.
When you write articles, make sure you start with enough on the page so that it's not deletion-quality. If you must create a stub that you plan to expand on in the near future, use a {{WIP}} or {{Construction}} tag to mark it as a work-in-progress. However, if you leave a tagged WIP unedited for a full week, it'll wind up huffed. If the idea of impending deletion doesn't appeal to you, you should like I do, and start pages in userspace, first. This means making a page like User:Prop 8 protesters are EVIL!/Article about stuff. In userspace just about anything goes(save for the obvious no-nos, like shock pics or other stupidity), and you can build and rework your page(s) at your leisure. Once it's done, just move into mainspace, maybe getting a pee review at some point to get constructive feedback on your article.
For new users seeking help, the Uncyclopedian Adopt-a-Noob program is there to bring experienced editors straight to you. Browse our list of available mentors, and leave them a message on their talk page.
Lastly, and most importantly, have fun with it! As a comedy wiki, that's kinda what Uncyc is for. Enjoy yourself, and remember to never take anything anyone here says too seriously. We have serious moments, but generally we stay pretty laid back. Also, I'm not a bot. Just 'cause you saw a similar message on a bunch of other users' pages doesn't mean I didn't have to copy and paste this one onto yours with my own meatsack of a finger. Anyways, welcome to the machine! - P.M., WotM, & GUN, Sir Led Balloon Baloon.gif(Tick Tock) (Contribs) 23:49, Dec 3

Reviewing stuff[edit source]

Hi there Prop 8 protesters are EVIL!, always nice to see new users. And thanks for taking the time out to review other people's work - it is appreciated when new folk want to help, believe me! However, I was wondering if you would mind having a look at the pee guidelines before doing any more reviews? Thing is, most people, when they submit their articles, are looking to find out where they can improve them, and just saying "It wasn't that good. Try to improve it" isn't any help. If you are going to give your time to help others out, giving them a little more helpful advice will ensure that neither your time nor theirs is wasted. Thanks, and hope to see you around the site! --UU - natter UU Manhole.gif 10:01, Dec 6

PsychotypeD 05:40, 10 December 2008 (UTC) Hey there Prop 8, I read your review on the Spongebob V.S. Zim article. I was actually quite honored, this is actually the first time I've gotten a 35 on an article (note that I've only been with this sight for a little less than a month), it shows I might have some decent success here. I'll see if if I can touch it up sometime in the future, ideas can flow into my head at anytime. Hey by the way, do you think you can review my Transformers the Movie article. It's on Pee Review too and I really want it reviewed cause I put a lot of effort into it. I'm also getting a bit annoyed that some of my latest articles are getting reviewed and the Transformers article isn't despite being up the longest. So do ya think you can do that if you have the chance?

PsychotypeD 18:54, 19 December 2008 (UTC) Okay I'm back here after a a while. In case you got the last note, the Transformers article was already reviewed. Anyway, I asking you here about the Spongebob Squarepants V.S. Invader Zim article. I'm now out of new ideas for a while and I'm working on some of my old articles. You said that the humor was a little stale, do think if you have the chance you could look it over again and tell me some parts that are stale (use the link above). I'll get to work on fixing them up.
