A TV Tropes syntaxer... er, TV Tropes Syntaxer either is someone who hasn't realised that Uncyclopedia, which uses MediaWiki, has different syntax from PmWiki-based sites and the many other Not Quite Wikis; or is someone who has been wasting spending his time updating both (literally, if he has OVER 9000! windows or tabs open) and has momentarily forgotten which one he's editing vandalising at the moment.

This means he Cluster F-Bomb craps up the syntax, leaving a page full of broken links (that look like this) and all manner of other formatting problems that either he or another idiot must crap up worse than the piece of shit it already is. This is quite understandable, what with the addictive qualities of TV Tropes, and the crappy software they use instead of MediaWiki; many think all Wikis work differently from Wikipedia.

Even worse, he might not use link syntax at all, opting instead for WikiWords. This makes an article uglier by a factor of , and can lead to one heck of a 404'd page. Strong Bad got nothing on this one!

Not to be confused with a Wikipedia Updater, but the two may sometimes overlap. It's probably quite possible to go the other way and accidentally use Uncyclopedia syntax and Uncyclopedia:In-jokes in-jokes on a PmWiki wiki too. In the case this happens, Hilarity Ensues.

Compare DarthWiki:That Troper and HowTo:Get Banned, of which this page AvertedTrope is not an example. Contrast Quick VFD, WildMassGuessing, and MindScrew. Does not apply if used in the TroperTales or User namespaces, or on the pointless Uncyclopedia Replika, which NobodyCares about.
