Quentin Tarantino[edit source]

Honestly, I thought it was very funny and very well put together. Much less asinine than most of the stuff on the site, and I know that's kinda the point of the site, but you can be funny and parody things without being totally randomly asinine, which is what you did here, and it was good. My only suggestion is to add more in some places, maybe talk a little more about Kill Bill, or mention Robert Rodrigues, he and Tarentino are friends or something right? All in all, well done.

That's not quite how Pee Review works, but thanks for the advice regardless. —Unführer Guildy Ritter von Guildensternenstein 15:29, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

I wasn't going to do this for a while, but then I decided to get all the filmmaker-article-ness out of my system so I could spend the next three-to-four weeks concentrating on stuff that ultimately won't be as well-recieved as these typically are. Review away. —Unführer Guildy Ritter von Guildensternenstein 01:30, 7 August 2009 (UTC)

Well based on the votes on the VFH page this should be pretty good, so I'll do it. Sequence 14:03, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

Humour: 9 The humour that you are using here illustrates Quentin Tarantino and his film making style really well. While in a lot of cases excessive swearing isn't funny, here it is since it's a hallmark of the man. The movie lines are also pretty funny parodies of his movie's dialogue. Some of the one liner comments for the pictures aren't that great, I guess you have to leave them as is since they act the infomation base for the article (it can't be all jokes). Overall pretty good

There aren't many recommendations I can give here because it is probably in it's best form at the moment and so anything I suggest probably couldn't be used to improve it.

Concept: 10 He's a very famous director and writing an article on him in his style is a really good move. I'd have to say you've pulled this off excellently.
Prose and formatting: 9 The article switches between a script style and a couple of smaller paragraphs that use a direct addressing voice. This is alright as you have seperated them into alternating sections. The spelling and grammar also appear to be fine. The only bad part about it is that the large number of pictures and few lines of text next to them create a lot of white space, which makes it look a bit...empty. I guess there isn't really anything you can do to alter it though.
Images: 9 There are a lot of images in this article and for good reason. None of them are really 'amusing' but since they are being used to illustrate his movies and provide a background picture for the location the scene is taking place in that's alright. You are probably okay to leave them all like this although since they aren't adding to the humour I have to take the score down a little (like that matters).
Miscellaneous: 9 I'd probably recommend this article to other people, particularly if they were Tarantino fans.
Final Score: 46 I know the review is pretty short but that's only because the article is looking pretty much complete. This should be fine for getting featured. In fact I had better go and vote for it after I post this review.
