| Humour: | 7 | As a first reaction, I smirked. Not a good sign. A good article is hilarious and gets back to haunting you later with it's hilarity. This one is not a great article in that respect. It's definitely of higher humorous quality than 80% of the articles out there, but it's not as funny as it could be.
However after a re-read, the jokes finally started sinking in. My favourite section by far is Preludes, especially the young lady's reactions to his elaborate wooing attempts. ;) I'd still wish to see a slight change in humorous style, since currently, the jokes alternate beween bad "drunk teenager thinks this is funny" to high brow "oh goodness, I am in fact almost as amused as when Lizzie had her bottom pinched at the bar and her security detail cuffed the culprit's arms to his penis and threw him into the Thames last week" funny... Streamline it a bit if you can. |
| Concept: | 8 | Not too bad per se, the execution is just of varying quality, meaning some of it is high brow funny, some of it is fart-poop funny. Kudos for not making Claude a homosexual, too. It's the fastest shortcut to only barely amusing "funny". |
| Prose and formatting: | 6 | I'd have given you a higher score, but goddamnit, the serious, proper encyclopaedic tone is broken off by comments about the lack of getting laid with the English skills and verbal maturity of a 13-year old. It might be intentional, it might not be, but it's erratic occurrence throughout the article confuses me a little. Might just be me that is bothered by it, though.
The general impression I get from the text and the placement of these 13-year-old-comments is that the author seems to have gotten tired of writing the paragraph and that he's cutting corners to just get it over with... |
| Images: | 7 | You have good images, but the captions do not present anything new to the article, and as such, are rather redundant in their current form. The subtlety of the painted image might need some less subtle caption for the imagery. This is just a suggestion based on my personal opinion, though. |
| Miscellaneous: | 7 | All in all, the concept is a fun one, though the execution is slightly clumsy, though not horribly appalling. The article could use some streamlining as comes to the humorous style, and all in all, is still slightly on the short side. |
