I always do this! it's a little way to let people know who wrote it without clicking on history (I find myself doing that every time I read an UnNews story). Yea. Um... Hea. As you know I have not been around much recently, so I might be out of date on this one. Also, I don't like to be telling you what to do, especially as you write so much great stuff here, but I don't think you are allowed to include a link to yourself like that at anytime. If you look at UnNews:Last shred of Bob Woodward's integrity disappears in sinkhole for example you can see the name "Jack Mirkinson" the author of the linked to articles has been used. As you did not write the external article which was linked (I'm guessing!) then your name should probably not be there. As in... Not be there in any of your articles. Hmm, you know what? I thought the link was sacred too, but back in the day I edited somebody who had put their source as Doctor Knobcheese, Daily Express or something, and somebody senior like Romartus or Global Tourniquet or someone said that the sources were fair game for playing with - hence some people put fake headlines, fake publishers, etc. I've bee doing it for about 6 months and no one has minded so far, I do it and I'd like more writers to do it to identify themselves, so you don't have to do that history click thing I was talking about. IMO if Romartus did it then he was probably wrong to do so. ... Sure, fake headlines, fake publishers, etc is cool. Obviously. But whoring yourself from the articles is probably not. If you want to change what I think is policy on this (I may be wrong) and encourage others to do as you suggest then you should make a dump post about this. I think if you do that you will find that most people agree that an article author should not be linked from an article in mainspace.  ;) Like I said... I may be wrong, and everyone should be doing it. But I doubt it. I think it would be a mess and would not work... What if there were many authors? Wait. This is a wiki! There are!
